Maybe that's the point, in this case, ppl "understanding" but still with no empathy, and everything is either excusable or not.

This is a karate drama and like anything remotely of its ilk, can't be if ppl are that level litigious. Throughout these seasons, we saw snakes set in cars, supposedly "good natured characters (Sam)" doing hit and runs and forgetting about it the next day, ppl going to car dealerships and "assaulting" strangers asking where their kid is (to no police call) magical pressure point martial arts, and brutal Vietnam flashbacks to cap it all off. & with Tory...considering Hawk is out, before Robby can assert his spot, the targeted Kreese influence to the teen with the hardest life next to his (Tory), and the other most pertinent issue - the rivalry with Sam (who was poorly and forcebly lionized).... So, of course Tory's taking things the furthest. Even Hawk showed his beginnings of his "good-guy" turn back, but then, still nearly beat one of HIS past rivals to death in the dojo. Rivalry is one of the greatest factors in this GENRE; don't forget
