Unless they had explosives they weren't telling anyone about, I can't see what the advantage would be - from a Paradis soldiers' point of view - to let Titans group up. So, it's cool because it sort of, kind of just tells you that Reiner and co. aren't on the up and up. But it's such a quick line I've never seen anyone pay it any mind. *chef's kiss*

Like the very first scene is Eren having strange memories like Falco did and there are other scenes like Annie asking Reiner, "now?" And Reiner is like nah let them group up first.
