She is a third year, same as Daichi (the captain/coach-ish) and Sugawara (the grey haired guy). Tanaka (the guy who likes taking his shirt off) is a second year. Hinata and Kageyama are first years. As for Japan High School and Japan Middle school both have only 3 years since Japan Elementary School is 1st to 7th grade. So a first year in high school is a sophomore. Hope that cleared some things up for you guys. Also as for the pronunciation of the show it’s not Hi-kooh but actually Hi-Q. Finally I am not sure if you guys are aware of this since you are watching it on Netflix, but Haikyuu does not only have two seasons, but actually four+ and the rest is on Crunchyroll. Great reaction as always you guys are definitely in for a treat.
