I have to disagree, FMA'03 is pretty good, but has a different vibe - instead of "oh crap, oh cool!" rollercoaster, it's more melancholic ride. I think seeing FMA:B first takes a lot away from it, though. And since everyone and their dog has seen Brotherhood by now, it is probably better for dedicated watchers who like to see alternate versions just to spend more time with their favourite characters. Kinda like watching Fate Stay Night in all versions. I watched the old version first and it made Brotherhood even better for me - and not just by comparison. But people taking the opposite order tend to not like it so much. As for missing "Brotherhood" subtitle, that's because it's present only in English logo. Japanese version was known just as "that new FMA OVA" back then.

2021-04-13 14:54:47 +0000 UTC"Brotherhood" is the real Fullmetal Alchemist you should watch. The 2003 version went off on its own after Hughes's death, it was completely non-canon and crappy imo.
