For me, I rank it as #2, just behind FMAB, I lost my mother at a young age so it has some emotional ties there, but Hunter X Hunter is my #2 all time favorite. I'd say they're pretty good but as the series goes on I feel like the japanese voice actor for Gon at the very least is audibly more convincing - at least in my opinion.

My favorite anime of all time. Glad you guys are finally starting it.

Not a spoiler, but the blonde character is a boy if you didn't catch that 😅 and the outro is sang by the same band who also sing in the Parasyte opening.

Origin story complete? Hope you guys got my message and watched the 1999 first episode, they cut the manga sub plot that actually gives a more accurate origin for Gon, it was accidently left out. They had to retcon flash backs later.
