I dont think grumman is evil per say. I thiiiink he just thinks roy isnt fully up to the task and hell have to finish the job and is planning for that possible eventuality. Also I really like how pride kills gluttony. Thats how I lost lose weight lol. My pride/vanity overcame my gluttony.
