Man this was the 1st or 2nd episode of part 2 of this season why it was such a shocker to me. I was thinking Kanan might die by the end. But I was expecting 2nd to last episode not this soon.

I was very similar in that I was a 'films only' SW watcher but having binged everything at the start of 2020 (thanks to Mando S1 reigniting my SW flame) I fell hook line and sinker for these shows. And as others have said, these last few episodes are AMAZING for tons of differing reasons. You'll laugh, cry, be dumbfounded, cheer and probably cry again. then you'll wish there was more!

2021-09-02 06:58:36 +0000 UTCKanan DID become a Jedi Knight; the Grand Inquistor/Temple Guard literally knighted him with the yellow blade in “Shroud of Darkness” (S2E18), in the vision within the Jedi Temple on Lothal. “Rise, you are now what i once was. A knight of the Jedi Order” Obviously this was overshadowed by the ending but Thrawn leaving to meet the Emperor and present the case for the TIE defender against Orson Krennic and “Project Stardust” was a massive, galaxy swinging moment. Seems like the names didnt click, but think back to Rogue One. I I don’t want to spoil it because the realization is significant, but we’ve met Krennic and we know what Stardust is. Think anout how galactic events change if the Emperor has sided with Thrawn instead of Krennic!
