My interpretation would be, that he used part of Pride's power, since he was basically leaking it everywhere anyways🤔 ThoughI think, this is one of those instances where there is no "correct" explanaition to be found anyways xD

Lol, your right xD

@Randemblock Very tru

Wrath also died peacefully. With a smile on his face. Content. The opposite of wrath.

I always find it a little funny how Father made Sloth spend centuries digging a tunnel for the transmutation circle. Meanwhile Hohenheim was just like meh I'll just use mother nature 😂

Inky

Wrath died from someone overpowering him or out-wrathed him lol, and also died from forshaming God's name too many times (Hence the Sun hitting his sword). Pride died from being too prideless. 👏🏽🐐

At the verge of death in Baschool, Ed practiced the idea that if a philosopher's stone is a collection of souls, even a single soul (your own soul) can be turned into (or rather regarded as) a philosopher's stone = power source to fuel alchemy. The more souls consumed to create the stone, the more powerful, hence it will allow the user to bypass the laws of equivalent exchange, so not so much with a single soul but nonetheless, here again, Ed is regarding his single soul as an amplifier to practice difficult alchemy. Since half of his blood is from a father who is a living philosopher's stone, it may have been easier for him to transfer himself/ regard himself as a philosopher's stone more so than otger ordinary alchemists, in order to make a direct passage to Pride's soul = philosopher's stone. ...or that's my theory.

Wrath dies at peace with himself. Also obligatory "To take out bradley, it required blowing up his train over a bridge, a tank, a company of briggs men along with their captain. 3 top teir xingese warriors and an undying hommunculus, colonel mustang doesnt even put up a fight. and then a top tier ishvalan warrior fighting to avenge his entire, + an act of god. " Bradley is the biggest monster out of everyone and hes just a dude with a sword lol.

Well he's not converting himself into a soul per se, since he already has his own soul. What I think he was doing, was something like manipulating the energy of his own "internal philosopher stone", just as he did when he healed himself in Baschool, but instead of using a piece of it up he transformed it into a detached version from his physical form (so similar to how he transferred Al's soul originally) to penetrate pride's psyche and find his true form.

The reason that I love Kimblee as a villain is because he might be crazy as hell, but he always keeps his philosophies and values close to his character. He doesn't tell lies, he'll tell you exactly what he's thinking, and then blow you up just to satisfy his bloodlust.

I think this is different. He used his own soul as an "energy source" to heal his injuries in the mineshaft. I believe what he did this episode is simply converting himself into a soul to enter Pride's philosophers stone and pull the real Pride out, so he probably doesn't actually sacrifice his life span, he just needs a bit of energy to perform a bit of alchemy to transform himself momentarily... this time he wasn't healing himself from the verge of death, which would definitely require a lot of energy.

Ed utilized his body as a philosopher's stone once before, when he healed himself in the mineshaft. The way he explained it, he was using some of his life force? If that's what he did here, it seems a bit too good intentioned for him to sacrifice some of his own life to bring Selim back rather than simply kill him, but I could be wrong all together.
