Def check out "They Shall Not Grow Old" The Peter Jackson WW1 documentary where they restore and colorize old footage but also hired lipreaders to translate the silent originals. It really is like taking a trip in time and suddenly those people don't seem so different from us now.

One of the better recent "war" movies, watched it when it came out, but i gladly rewatch it with you guys, 1917, Pianist, Schindler's List, Enemy at the gates, its also worth checking out. I strongly recommend ww1/2 documentaries, people really like those on youtube too, and it will explain everything in easiest way, Epic History WW1, WW2 in colour on yt, and those are reallly gooood.
