I know y'all have finished this series but my suspicion is that Lucas's friend (I don't know his name) likes Lucas. That's why he asked if Lucas was in love with him because you can see his mood change when Lucas says no.

2023-06-18 12:04:14 +0000 UTCdefinitely, creative decisions and approaches to basically everything from casting to work environment etc... i was gonna mention young royals too (even though i have some major issues with the writing of s2, but lisa ambjorn had talked about this point herself, it's this amazing interview with her titled "young royal feelings" in dust magazine)! and hearstopper and actually many of these exceptional shows we've been blessed with in the last couple of years.

2023-06-18 11:58:02 +0000 UTCYes what you say makes sense. Maybe it was so hard for him to tell Yann, because he is his best friend and his opinion matters the most? But on the other hand, because he is his best friend, he should be able to talk to him about stuff, and Yann tried several times to ask if something was wrong, and that he could always come to him and talk, so when Lucas listed all those people, first time I saw it, I just figured it must be the last to know thing. Lucas was also kinda in denial the first 5 and a half episodes/ figuring out what this thing with Elliott means, so it was a complicated matter, so I can see it from both sides, but I understand why Alex feel bad towards Yann, because it wasn't the best move to make.

Lucas said the nurse had told him to find someone he trusts but then he listed all of these other people. I wanted him to say, after he’d listed people who have suspicions, that he was the only person he’d *told*. I haven’t seen any more episodes so I don’t know if I’m making any sense 😂

2023-06-18 11:33:18 +0000 UTCi just found out what i realize i knew this whole time just couldn't put my finger on it. i firmly believe og skam has the power it has because it was created, written and directed by a woman and the team was female. it doesn't mean everything written and directed by women is good or better, or that male creators can't bring to the table something fresh and deeply moving (see alex and josh whose reactions are the only reason i'm gonna finally actually watch this entire season haha), but the original idea and execution of the show is a perfect example how it makes such a difference to also have things created by women because this story and storytelling were intentional about some things in a very feminist way, *not* the traditional way(s), and that's what set the show apart, in fact. well skam france (at least s1-4) not only was directed by a guy, but the team was mostly male. that's what it was all along :D

To me it looked like he was a little shocked when Lucas said it wasn’t a girl but then got more and more upset as a Lucas listed all of the people he had tried to speak to already. Yann has tried multiple times to get him to open up and is probably upset that his best friend didn’t come to him first. But I completely agree that he has done the wrong thing in making the situation about him now and has left Lucas hanging. Of course Lucas is going to feel horrible, as if his best friend doesn’t accept him, which is a massive blow. It probably feeds in to the reasoning Lucas didn’t tell him sooner, he was testing the waters by telling people he knew would accept him (Mika) or people that have just figured it out. But it took real courage to tell his best friend, coz his opinion and support matters, and now poor Lucas is left alone, feeling like he may have lost Yann 😭

2023-06-17 17:46:14 +0000 UTCYes please do episode 7 soon!!! Since you’ve only watched season 3 of both this and Skam OG, you’ve missed some plot points. First, Manon is crying because of issues with her boyfriend and stuff his brother did to her. Her and Charles haven’t really been able to move forward and don’t communicate well so she essentially ran away back home to France but she’s pretty devastated. And in season 1 Lucas does have a crush on Yann and because of that he sabotages Yann’s relationship with Emma. That’s why he said last year he thought he liked Yann during that conversation.

2023-06-17 16:48:47 +0000 UTCIt was not a great move for Yann to just walk out on Lucas leaving him thinking, that he had a problem with him being gay, but also when I watched the show the first time, I thought, that It was a kinda immediate reaction, because Yann might have felt hurt by feeling, he was kinda the last to know, and that when they were best friends, why couldn't he talk to him? Still not great of him to walk away, I just tried to understand why he did it. And by the way, yes it is handball, and Denmark where I'm from is actually where it was invented. 🙂
