Just finished watching series 2 and must admit it's so much better than series 1. I never took to season 1 but I love season 2, maybe the characters grew on me more or maybe I'm just an old romantic at heart. lol

I had just become aware of Jonathan Groff after seeing him in “Knock at the Cabin”. Perhaps my motivation approaching the series was different. I did get invested in the characters though. Not every show is for everyone. That’s why there are different “flavors” which is wonderful. There have been a couple of shows that aren’t my cup of tea but I still watch along with Alex and Josh. Sometimes I even learn a thing or two 😁

I was disappointed by the show, for me it was such an atypical representation of the everyday life of gay people, gay men in particular, although the depiction of the actual everyday lives of gay men could just be bit boring as a drama. I just didn't connect with any of the characters. I think that Eastsiders did a better job of it but then again it's all subjective. I'll probably continue watching with ASWT though, just to hear their take on it.🙂

It's one of those shows that you really end up forming a very strong connection with all the characters... even those you hated at first! Lol It will be a fun re-watch for me as I haven't seen it since it ended.

I guess for me it's mostly a mental health / productivity thing because I used to spend so much time on my phone that I had to delete those kind of apps or I'd spiral and get no work done. Never really occurred to me that it's weird until you called it out😂

2023-09-15 17:34:09 +0000 UTCJust in case someone hasn’t posted already, a Condo is basically a smaller scale home you can own in a building, it looks like an apartment but you can purchase it, and not have to pay rent (although there are plenty of fees, and bills that come along with owning a condo that make it feel like rent).

Also, #teamRichie all the way with this series. That's my hommie! 2) Have you both watched/reacted to the other film by this director/creator called "Weekend" - it set the tone that he used in SF for Looking. Worth a watch/reaction if you're *looking* for something related. Also, DORIS... goddamn! That woman is a comedic goddess!

Condos or condominiums are similar, but each unit has individual ownership and the the common areas are governed by a board appointed by the collective owners (HOA).

2023-09-14 23:21:57 +0000 UTCI have, in fact, seen JGroff’s naked ass in person; I saw him in the original production of Spring Awakening and had special tickets where we sat on stage as part of the background “chorus.” If you’ve ever seen the show or know of the production, then you know at one point there’s a scene with him and Lea Michele where they have sex for the first time, and he pulls his pants down partially. From the audience, it doesn’t seem like a big deal, but from my vantage point on stage right, I got quite an unexpected view of his naked ass 🤣🤣

The council housing system is fucked but I am not in the mood to open that kettle of fish.

I sent you guys a PM a week ago about a show topic. You should consider doing an episode explaining British life as seen in Heartstopper. From season 1 for example, questions people might have, like -- Is that a pvt school? Do all UK schools have fab art depts like that? Do teens really wear age buttons on their birthdays? Charlie's house - is that a "suburban" home a family would own or is that council housing (whatever that means)? WTF is a specialist sports team (those guys were MEN)? Why did Charlie wear a jumper and blazer but Nick only had to wear a shirt and tie in school? What are A Levels? Does every seaside town have a funfair with a merry-go-round/arcade/photobooth? They are in almost all the UK TV I see, the country is littered with them. Sure, most of that can be Googled, but seeing you explain it would be fun.

Attractive people with nothing to say. At the time this show was greenlighted and aired, "Girls" was a major hit and this was put out there as the 'gay version' or an updated QAF (which I also think is garbage). I wish they had never made the "Girls" comparison because it raised my expectations. So anyway, here I go... *clicks PLAY*

Last time I was in NYC I actually met Groff and THIS is the show that came to mind while I was talking to him, and ever since I've been worried he just thinks I'm thinking of him naked all the time lol (there is a lot of nakedity in this btw if you hadn't got that already) 2.
