PLEASE DO SEASON 2 and the movie, season 2 in my opinion is better than season 1, more personal growth for each of the characters 🤣🤣

It's a true story about the first Exotico Lucha Libre Mexican wrestler and is incredibly well done. Gael Garcia Bernal plays the title character and Raul plays his DL lover boy. And BOY did Raul leave being a Mexican twink behind. The man is THICC AF now.

2023-11-08 20:38:27 +0000 UTC⚠️ 📢RANT📢 I can't believe there are people who are team Kevin 😭😭😭 He is soo selfish, manipulative and doesn't reflect on himself and his actions at all. 1. He has known Patrick wanted him from the beginning. Instead of using that knowledge to form clear boundaries w/ Patrick he uses it to manipulate 2. Patrick into overworking/overextending himself as he wants to look good in front of his Boss that he hit on and got rejected by and now feels he has to show that he earned his position and not just a slacker more concerned about getting his dick wet than doing his work. 3. When he sees Patrick getting more confident in himself and not needing his validation, he forces himself onto him cause he needs that validation from Patrick too, that he is "that dude" or "the man". When Patrick isn't as grateful to be kissed by him as he thought he would be he 4. Tries to force a conversation about the kiss to which Patrick tells him in no uncertain terms "NO" on three different occasions, but instead of respecting Patrick trying to set boundaries he manipulates him into an after hours meeting under the pretense of it being work related at a time when 5. Patrick is at his lowest and feeling rejected thinking that his r/s w/ Ritchie is over and just wanting to feel wanted. 6. Before the encounter Patrick asks "What about your boyfriend" and Kevin just shrugs it off. After, Patrick asks "Now what?" and Kevin literally goes "UHH DUNNO" LIKE WHAT?! 7. Kevin wants to have his cake and eat it too but like wtf. He doesn't know what he wants only that he wants to have sex w/ Patrick not thinking about their working r/s, his boyfriend or any of the consequences of their actions I'm NOT absolving Patrick of responsibility, but there is a power imbalance in their r/s and it has been shown from the beginning that he is susceptible to Kevin's abuse of it. And he was in an emotionally vulnerable place when he finally gave into Kevin BUT he had tried really hard to set proper boundaries between the two of them throughout the season while Kevin just wanted to cross and break them. 📢END RANT.📢 ⚠️ Sorry to all who read throught that lol. I just really don't like Kevin. Ritchie may have issues but he knows who he is, is honest and sincere and tries to be good person. TEAM RITCHIE ALL THE WAY 🫡😂

2023-11-08 03:49:54 +0000 UTCI am SOO glad you are doing this series. I can't wait for you to get into season 2. I actually love the characters, EVEN Augustin, which is saying something. They are so lost and struggling and REAL. but they also feel like they are -- at heart -- well-intentioned. I'm not sure I can include Kevin as being well-intentioned, he seems, as you said, manipulative. The break-up scene with Ritchie broke my heart. The way he could barely look Patrick in the eyes was powerful and moving to me. He seems like a person who has fought hard to be true to himself and who is so tender-hearted that his fears of opening up to Patrick are well-founded. (I am Team Richie all the way!!!) "Looking" foreward to watching the rest with you.

I never approach anyone but I saw the creator of Looking once at a cafe on a Studio Lot. I went up to him and told him how much I loved Looking. He was super nice and very appreciative to hear from a fan. I'm so glad they got to do a movie to wrap it up. Looking forward to your season 2 reactions!

2023-11-07 15:59:47 +0000 UTCI’ll be honest, I can’t actually remember what happens in most of these episodes as they’re all one big episode to me as I’m forever watching it all in one, but I most definitely remembered the Kevin/Patrick scene, and now that something more has happened between them on the tail of whatever’s happening with Patrick/Richie, I feel comfortable saying that it’s Patrick and Richie for me, there’s definitely something about Kevin, but overall I’m team Richie

I look forward to seeing the second series when you get to it. The most important question I have from this finale is, is The Golden Girls just as huge for the gays in other parts of the world, or is that strictly an American thing?

Looking has been top of my list of queer shows for a long time, precisely because of what you said at the end there - it's just very real. Very stark, often shockingly so, and I think it's rare for just that reason.

Without spoiling anything, I think in season 2 there's some growing up going on, everyone are still flawed but you get to really see how great the three main characters are at being good friends to each other. Which is beautiful 😍 And the movie gives you as a viewer wonderful closer so I would love love to see you watch it. Thank you so much for this, it's been a real comfort for me at a time I needed it very much 💜
