C'mon, no waiting! [Hi-Res/Step-by-Step]

This is definitely one of my more ambitious pictures and I'm still really proud of it, even if it isn't one of my most popular online.

Thought it'd be fun to show off a step-by-step process for anyone looking to know about my work process as I have a number of WIP shots from this pic.

Initial sketch idea and background layout (abuse of perspective rulers again!). Izumi's hair was different at this point too.

Clean sketch and initial inks.

Changed Izumi's design at this point - her design was far too similar to a friend's OC so went for something a little more unique. Changed her fringe a bit and made her ponytail longer.

Also had a couple of colour tests and decided my usual colour schemes were too bold when I wanted to emulate an anime style.

Fixed a couple of inking and sketch errors and began to paint the background. That was the most daunting but fun part - it's a lot easier than it looks!

Complete core background, minus the window and noticeboard on the right. It looked so drab!

And the final product - decided I wanted Saki to wear leggings, painted the notice board and window, added some lighting and layer effects to give the pic it's anime style and then some final touches in Photoshop.
