Had you told me in season 1 that this character would die, I'd have been "Great, perfect, good bloody riddance". What a fantastic (and tragic) character arc.

2024-01-28 04:19:00 +0000 UTCthe fans are going wild trying their best to get another season but honestly i really like this ending. it’s one of my favorite shows so of course i’d love more story and for the crew to keep working together but i’d rather it have a good solid, happy(ish - RIP Izzy) conclusion than fizzle out eventually.

You really feel like everyone will be okay and happy, and yet there was a clear set up for a third season (avenging Izzy) had they gotten one. That takes talent to pull off and they really did it. I will miss this show but I'm so glad it existed for two wonderful years and gave us such incredible journeys to follow.

As much as I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this ending these two are pirates, through and through. Inn keeping would be lovely…at first…but the siren call of the sea would eventually become too hard to ignore. And let’s face it, wouldn’t it be more appropriate for them to go out like the people their characters are very very very loosly based on?! So we gotta get this show back on the air so we get that nice and depressing ending we deserve to see 😂😭

Boy was I wrong! I completely agree. This is top tier. When I originally watched this finale, I thought it would make a good series finale, though I hoped it would continue. I hear there's a push to uncancel it. We'll see if that comes to pass. If it does, that's great. If not, I'm just as happy with what we got.
