It's the penultimate episode of s2 and sh*t is hitting the fan in Hillerska!

Enjoy!

YOUNG ROYALS S2 E5 - THE LOST UNCUTS

I too, didn't understand why Simon has acted as if the drugs weren't brought in by him. He disregards his actions by accusing Wilhelm. Never once did he show any remorse for bringing in the drugs in the first place.

Well said!!!

That conversation you all just had I want to talk more after S3 Ep5 and then 6 please remember me :)

Amanda Balser

Well put.

It’s a nice suggestion. Another very good movie which hasn’t had much exposure is a Brazilian film called The Way He Looks. Maybe something for the future,

One thing that people rarely talk about is the fact that Linda is actually not as perfect of a parent as most people say. Lisa Ambjörn, the head writer of the series, talked about how we see her being too passive sometimes in her IG live. For example in season 1, when Simon and Sara's father comes to Sankta Lucia at Hillerska, she does not say a word although she should have. Also, she lets Simon talk to Sara when Sara talks trash about their household in the last episode of s1. Overall she's still a very loving parent and just doing her best of course. I just find it interesting and love that fact that pretty much every character in YR has some complexity to them. <3

This is one of my favourite episodes of the entire series. The amount of growth Wille has gone through in this season alone has been great to watch. He started out this series as a spoiled, rich, royal brat, who didn't comprehend that the world didn't revolve around him. Then Erik died, and the weight of the world was thrust upon him, which sent him into a tailspin. Even through the first half of this season, he was angry and selfish. The "Socialist" therapist really helped him to realise that he has to see things differently.

Chris Metzger

Is that a suggestion? It seems to be phrased rather as a demand (that might not have been your intention), which is probably not the most helpful way of asking Alex and Josh to react to that series…

In the argument I understand why Wilhelm would think, that Simon maybe wouldn't have a chance against August in court, but I also really understand why Simon was angry that he held back that serious/important information from him.

Sara Nissen

My rant now. 😂 I think you’re completely right about Wille and too harsh on Simon. Simon has grown up in a family torn apart by his Dad’s addictions and has no security blanket of money and privilege. He has a sister whose needs he often puts before his own and a loving, hardworking mother whom he doesn’t want to disappoint. He’s the poor kid at the school who’s labelled and looked down on by most of the students. He meets and falls in love with a prince, who shifts between passion and panic, albeit for very understandable reasons and lies about his relationship with you, even though he promises you that he won’t, again for a perfectly understandable reason, at least in his eyes. You feel betrayed and vulnerable, even though you really still love him. You try to move on by having a casual relationship with another guy, but he’s much keener and you try several times to tell him that you’re not looking for a serious relationship. He gaslights you and manipulates you, even using your father as a means of undermining your attempts to extricate yourself from the situation and turning up to police you at your masquerade ball, making it crystal clear that he is there for anything other than your singing. You’re 16. Everything is a big deal and you know things are going badly, but you don’t have the life experience to know what to do so you make bad decisions that are only going to hurt you and others. Young Royals, baby! As Omar would say. ❤️👑❤️

Okay..incoming rant! I think people are way too hard on Wilhelm and not hard enough on Simon. With every watch, and there have been many, Simon’s actions and behaviors become more and more obnoxious. Simon has made so many poor decisions throughout both of these seasons that I believe to be far worse than anything Wilhelm has done. He manipulated his dad into buying him alcohol, then took advantage of his dad to steal drugs, lied to Sara about seeing their dad, racked up school fees his mom couldn’t afford, blackmailed August into selling the drugs, took zero responsibility when the drugs were confiscated (he was basically the cartel in that situation), he lashes out and deflects every time he gets called out or caught for his actions. He seemed only concerned about him being visible in the video and not the fact that Wilhelm was publicly outed and forced to deny it by his family. (The parallels they show in the scenes with both of their moms right after the video is leaked is heartbreaking). Then Simon goes on to use Marcus, parade him in front of Wilhelm, and when Wilhelm was finally letting him go, panics and reels him back in….twice. Has the audacity to say to Wilhelm at least he is being honest about his feelings. Then leaves Marcus to go kiss Wilhelm, only to call it a mistake because he couldn’t sing a super personal song he wrote that is obviously about Wilhelm on live television in front of the whole country and royal family. Once again not looking at the whole situation and only what affects him, not acknowledge his role and only blaming others. Not to say that Wilhelm is innocent, but I do think there is a huge difference between their actions. The mistakes Willie makes seem to be based in naivety and the fact that he has lived a very sheltered and insular life. Simon’s actions appear to be very selfish and inconsiderate of how his actions affect anyone else. All while Wilhelm is working to right his wrongs and grow. He is standing up to his mom and the whole damn monarchy, standing up for Simon constantly, and trying to see that August receives some sort of punishment. Okay..end rant.

Nina

Thanks for this lost reaction, guys! 👏 It was a lot of fun with the benefit of hindsight, listening to you guys making predictions about the finale! As usual, there were some pretty accurate ones, along with a few wild, but very funny speculations. 😂 I think one crucial moment got slightly interrupted by you hitting the pause button and then missing it when you re-started. Wille is at Simon’s house saying he’s prepared to renounce the throne for Simon and Ayub says, ‘Did he say he’d give up the crown for you?’ to Simon as Wille drives away. I think it’s the first time since the end of season 1 that he’s really said in different words, how much he loves Simon and would put him first. Wille also says he just wants Simon to know how he feels and what the situation is, remembering that just previously Simon called him out for keeping back information on August’s making the video. Secrets are an important theme in Young Royals and it’s interesting to see Wille finding the strength through therapy to start the process of accepting responsibility for his actions , apologising and making choices, while still giving Simon room to choose for himself.

Ruth May

Do we think they’re actually gonna get their shit together enough to have some semblance of a healthy relationship in season 3?

Hannah Howden

OMG, I am so jealous! 🤯

Ruth May

Wish I could post a small video here for you all. He was amazing. Edvin sat three rows in front of us with Samuel Astor (Nils) and Felicia Máxime (Stella).

IAmom

By the way, there is an odd pre-echo in the audio of these episodes (4 and 5) that I don't remember in 1 thru 3 or the YouTube edits. May be nothing you can do at this late date but I thought I would mention it.

Dennis Verner

One of the most amazing lines in the series: Ayub says, "Sa han precis att han skulle kasta kronan för din skull?" "Did he just say he would throw (renounce) the throne for you (your sake)?" (Sorry, you kind of talked over it.)

Dennis Verner

I think in the closed captioned version or subtitled… they show the lyrics that Simon wrote so that us Non Swedes can understand what he wrote and why considered too personal to sing.

Shari

As always, thanks guys for these.

Dennis Verner

Oh, how I wish I could be there with you! A bit far from Michigan.

Dennis Verner

yes!

karolina tersa

SO JEALOUS!!! I'm sure it's going to be incredible - have so much fun!!

scarr

Thank you. Me and my daughter met him yesterday. He is such a sweet person and handsome ❤️

IAmom

I envy you 😭 I wish you lots of fun!!! 🤩

Frances

Seeing Omar tonight - Nice warm-up 😍❤️

IAmom

Honestly I gasped when Sara said that the author took their life. It didn’t find it funny at all… Cause we all know that YR loves a bit of foreshadowing 😅 And when Wille said in ep.4 that he feels like he’s gonna die and then this… I was genuinely worried 🙈🙈

Frances

When Willhelm made Simon the sandwich he was recreating s1 ep5 after Simon stayed the night with him. The tailor is a realife tailor who has worked for the Swedish Royal family.

Jayne Riley

BTW , it will always be Mr. Adeyadey and Hillsherka for me 😂

Frances

Tusen takk gutta! Thanks. Just what this Saturday needed to make it even better!! 😘

Stian Kristoffersen

You look a bit Swedish/Norwegian with that hat Alex.
