Okay, before we get into this episode, I've got to ask who has your favourite Full English breakfast? I've got a few places on my list for when I come to London in June, Duck and Waffle, E. Pellicci, and The Breakfast Club. Now to business. If James could have beheaded George with a stare when George spoke out of turn during the privy council, he would have, and rightfully so! Speaking of beheading, what a way to go! Damn!!! An executioner's job is a rough one, but maybe Mary could consider it a position for John! I think he'd be a pro at it! lol I'd heard of Sir Walter Raleigh, but knew nothing about him other than the city of Raleigh, North Carolina was named in his honour. Mary's in a rough spot. She's fallen out of favour with her husband, George, and the Queen. Let's see where this goes next!!

I think George and Katie's marriage would be the kind I'd want if I ever wanted to get married. I like it. Open and honest, cards on the table, while everyone's needs are being met. I say that now but I don't know if I'd want it if I loved someone enough to get married LOL. In theory though, yeah! And not all the time, like George, just once in a while.

George really was being played by everyone this entire episode, expect for the King. Mary wanted him to be easily lead but only by her and now she's completely lost control.

This series is wild. I can't believe there are only 2 episodes left. It's actually a misconception brought about by Hollywood/other media that executions were simple, and only took one swing of the ax/sword/one slam of the guillotine. In actuality, most executions took multiple attempts. Monarchs would sometimes sentence people to be executed with a dulled blade, so it took a dozen(s) tries to fully decapitate someone. It was to prolong the person's suffering/give the crowd watching the person die more pleasure at the person's torment. It's really sick, but executions drew huge crowds and were seen as entertainment in those days. It was soooo fucked. Abortion has always been difficult, but that scene was really honest. The abortion pill that is available now can still make people feel similarly.
