I was requested by Skeb.

Here is the process of creating the client's character “C-chan”.

1.下描き rough sketch

↑クライアントさんからもらった資料を元に

Cちゃんをドールとしてデザインしました

人形として表情は変わらないようにしました

Based on the material I received from the client

I designed C-chan as a doll.

I designed her as a doll so that her facial expression would not change.

↑こちらは心も体も完全にドールになってしまったCちゃんです

長い髪をロールにしてお人形っぽさを出してみました

This line drawing is of C-chan, who has completely become a doll in both mind and body!

I rolled her long hair to make her look more like a doll.

2.線画 line drawing

↑下描きを参考に黒い線を描き入れます

球体関節は手足胴体の下レイヤーに配置するのでこのままにしておきます

Draw the black lines using the preliminary drawing as a guide.

Leave the spherical joints as they are since they will be placed on the lower layers of the limbs and body.

3.配色 color scheme

↑各箇所のベースの色をできるだけ資料に近づけるように配色します

I try to keep the base color of each area as close as possible to the color scheme of the client's materials.

4.影入れ cast a shadow

↑各部位の影を描きます

硬めの質感なので色の境界線をあまりぼかさずに塗ります

Paint the shadows of each area.

Since the doll has a hard texture, paint without blurring the color borders too much.

↑肌部分にヒビを描き、赤みを描き入れます(乳首を塗るのが一番楽しいです)

さらに髪のメッシュを別の色で描き入れます

Draw cracks on the skin area and paint in the reddish color (painting the nipples is the most fun).

Paint the hair mesh in a different color.

5.ハイライト Draw in highlights

↑硬質感が出るようにハイライトを描き入れます

Draw in highlights to give a hard look.

↑さらに強いハイライトをアクセントとして描きます

Draw stronger highlights as accents.

6.濃い影とその他装飾 Dark shadows and other decorations

↑パーツ同士が影を落とすような場所

腹部や股関節、顎の下や前髪の下に濃い影を置きます

細かい髪の毛を描き入れます

Places where parts cast shadows on each other.

Place dark shadows on the abdomen, hip joint, under the chin and under the bangs.

Draw in fine hair.

7.背景 Background

↑シーツにキャラクターの重さでできたようなシワを描きます

Draws wrinkles on the sheets as if they were created by the weight of the character.

↑古びた洋館のシーツを表現したかったのでブラシで汚れた感じにしました

I wanted to express the sheets of an old Western-style house, so I used a brush to make them look dirty.

8.合成する Compose a picture

↑キャラクターを背景の上に乗せて・・・

Putting the character on top of the background...

↑背景と馴染むように影を落とします

Cast shadows to blend in with the background

↑黒一色だった線の色をなじませて完成です！

The work is completed by blending the color of the lines, which were all black!
