A message to all my Patrons. Please read.
Added 2018-12-10 19:22:58 +0000 UTCHey everyone. I hope you are all doing well. I've got to take a moment and discuss something pretty important concerning the future of Dessert Menu...and I would imagine many artists who create nsfw content are concerned about also.
Recently...there has begun another crackdown on sites that host nsfw content. I'm not going to go into why this is happening and instead just focus on the fact that it is happening, and what choices are available to the content creators and those that consume their work.
I want nothing more than to continue creating my work for all of you. I enjoy it immensely, but also importantly, it's my main source of income. So I'd like to lay out a few options and discuss with you what would be most appealing to you all. I know that most of you prefer not to comment at all. I'd like to plead and please post your feedback. That would really help me going forward and continuing to serve all of you.

Now, the next issue is, obviously, how to get you all monthly Dessert Menus. So here are some options I've thought of. I'd love to hear what you think, what is most appealing, and any suggestions.
1. We would do individual payments through Paypal, and I would then send out Google Drive links so you can download your tier rewards. This would, honestly, be the hardest way to go forward, the longest, and there would be so much room for error as far as me having to keep everything organized, and making sure each person received the correct pledge. But, it is an option.
2. I can use my comics site https://www.pawfeathercomics.com/ . I can just sell the monthly rewards through the site like any of the other comics I sell there. Here is the catch though. The site provider I use doesn't allow nsfw content. So, we would have to cover the ladies up, and obviously, abstain from their genital areas. I have gotten away with walking the line very close in other comics I sell there, and I can imply some other things, but the lewdness would definitely have to be toned down. Again, let me know if this is acceptable to you or not.
3. I know of a few other site providers like "Shopify," which seems to be cool with adult content. I can set up a separate site just for Dessert Menu, and any other lewd content. There is also "DPD Cart." This is basically just a digital shopping cart that you can add to any of your social media sites. So say, on my Deviantart, Twitter, etc. whenever a Dessert Menu is available, I can post the link, and it will take you directly to the cart, with the product already in it. Or I can just email you all the links to the carts each month. Or both. :) as I would still like to grow my number of subscribers.
So there the three ideas I've come up with so far. If you could please read it over, at your convenience, and comment on what you think is the best course of action, should for some reason, my site get shut down.
Thank you everyone! I'm gonna do everything I can to continue bringing you content. I hope we can all get through this, including all the other nsfw content creators out there.

2018-12-17 21:38:19 +0000 UTCI'll be honest, I'm not very well-versed in the sites mentioned by the other patrons here (but I'm willing to learn them), so I'll just say I prefer either Option 1 or 3. Unless, of course, one of the other suggestions works better.

And I should really hope that you wouldn't be affected since Dessert Menu is practically tame compared to some of the crazier stuff people put out there. But if worst did come to worst I guess I'd think option 3 would be best? That subscribestar Emile mentioned seems like a nice alternative

It is: www.subscribestar.com There is another content creator on Patreon who has switched over to that site due to the controversial NSFW material he makes. It is very similar to Patreon in that it also has a tiered monthly payment system but they allow all types of NSFW content to be posted there. It is a good alternative if (in the unlikely event) your stuff is banned here

I'll check out the site you sent. Thanks for that. Sigh, yeah, would be wonderful to enjoy our content, in our own privacy, not hurting anyone, and just left alone.

Once again I'm consterned to see that happening, witch hunting this stuff when they just have to put a "18+ only" blocage on patreons creating this stuff. .. Anyway, I'm sorry to hear that, Patreon was definitely the best place for finding amazing content, and once again it'll be all fucked up. Sex is hunted like if it was a plague when violent stuff is more and more present, like if it was normal, such logic. Anyway, have you thought about bondagefan.com? I've recently found this site and it clearly seems to allow all kind of nsfw content, tho it seems to work like your shop where you sell your other comics, but without the nsfw restriction at least. Otherwise I have no clue which option would be the best, either for you and us. I guess maybe the third one, using one of those sites you named for continuing to provide it. Or maybe, it's like you said, just another change for forcing artists to put their nsfw at higher tier, so more expensive (and so more cash for Patreon, I wouldn't be surprised this could be the reason, if they noticed that most people are here for nsfw content, it's a greedy opportunity for them) But if it happens, I'm sure it won't take long before people create a new place for artists like you and give them a safe place where they can continue to do what they love to do as much as what they need to live. Just look, years ago, when Megaupload was closed, how long it took for seeing dozens of similar new sites popping? Same with torrent sites, or with Piratebay. You close a door to the internet community, they will forcefully create holes, windows and new doors for continuing to do/have what was deleted and took from them. Internet community is a strong one, often chaotic, but surprisingly very united when there's a big concern they don't like.

It's not an imediat solution, but knowing this is a problem affecting a lot of people, if websites like patreon and tumblr start to have problems with nsf content, a new alternative may emerge from people like us concern by opening altnertives. While searching for existing solutions like google links for exemple, it could be a nice idea to also look up and see if something new is in the work.

2018-12-10 20:03:52 +0000 UTCI'm not entirely sure. It might have something to do with a new law that was passed in April "Fosta-Sesta" which deals with cracking down on sex trafficking. It seems like it might start holding websites accountable for what individuals post. Illegal stuff I would imagine. The concern started, not too long ago, when Tumblr banned all nsfw content. And then, StudioFOW's Patreon was shut down. (It was a very successful hentai organisation. Now it did make it's movies using already copywritten characters like Lara Croft and 2B, so maybe that was why...but why did they get shut down now.) There's just a lot of chatter going on right now on social media about this new crack down, and nsfw artists are obviously concerned, since we aren't sure if this will be affecting all nsfw sites, or if it's more isolated.

2018-12-10 19:30:37 +0000 UTCI'm fairly confident I can speak for most of us when I say we like the lewdness at the level it's at. 😉 Tbh I think the best way to do it would be the first option, however it should be noted that you could look into something like MailChimp to make it easier on you to keep track of what goes where and such. Regardless of what happens, I will certainly continue supporting you!
