Cut from the same cloth as the Battle-Fires, the Ashigaru Field Rangers serve a different purpose - but no less vital.
They are the eyes in the dark. The silent step before the storm. Clad in light armor, carrying short-range weaponry, they scout, flank, disrupt.
They are not made for glory. They are made for clarity - to see the battlefield before it sees them. While their brothers and sisters hold the line, the Field Rangers ensure the line knows what lies ahead.
Each one is a thread in the grand weave of the Greater Good. And without them, the fabric of war would unravel.
