Hey all,
Last week, I've mostly been painting genitals and playing with pubic hair. Not something I ever thought I'd say, but there you have it! 😁 I've never spend much time on them and worked with the default stuff that DAZ offered, but they're not great and need a bit of work. I never did need to spend any time on them, as I've never shown any of it. But that now changes, so it's in my best interest to make it look decent.
I've also started converting the GEN8 characters I was using to GEN8.1. while I'm adding proper genitalia to the cast, as I think they generally work nicer and offer more finer controls.
I looked at some of the work I had done and often came across a render (usually a close up of someone's face) that I instantly hated and started wondering why it made the character look ugly or why it looked weird. While looking into some cinematography, I learned a great deal about different camera setups and the lenses often used. Up until now, I almost exclusively used a default camera with a 24mm lens. This works great for larger and wider shots with multiple people and showing off the environment, but it doesn't work so well for close-ups. I started using a simulated DSLR camera with a high focal length. It very much improves the more intimate shots, and allows me to utilize depth of field a lot better.
I'm still very busy with my job, so other than the things above, the story hasn't progressed much. With so many characters and choices and each having special moments, it's a lot of content to create, and sometimes the progression seems slow because of it.
Looks like Elize is the next special render winner, so I'll make something interesting for her next.
Take care,
Ezy
