Patreon Update 6.8.2020
Added 2020-06-09 01:39:25 +0000 UTCHello friends!
You may have heard, but my classes will be done soon and I'll be opening for commissions and artwork proper for the rest of Summer. That change will come with a lot of others in how I run my little business. I have 3 main points I'd like to cover. I put the essential ideas in bold.
1.) I want to switch to art full time.
My goal would be to offer commissions and sketch commissions more regularly, as
well as to make more art for my own characters. Serendipity will not be
coming back, because I can't monetize it properly at the moment. I hope to pick it up
someday when I'm better at drawing quickly and have less need for cash to survive.
This will only last for Summer. I may even take a serious hiatus once school begins
again in September. I hope streaming in my Discord will help with that.
2.) Patreon changes.
I'd love to include more fun tiers and benefits from my Patreon, but unfortunately the
guidelines aren't ideal for the type of content I make and the tier system tends to
overflow my commission queue. I'm considering pausing my sketch tier to offer
them to the general audience. I want to draw some good variety before school starts
again. Patreon can really only function as a tip jar for me if I have no active projects.
3.) I'm going to be trying different methods of selling commissions.
I want to offer a lot of different ways for people to get art from me. YCHs, normal
commissions, time-sensitive ones, random ones, sketches, lots. On top of that, I want
to learn to do faster and cleaner sketching and painting. I hope you'll all give me
feedback on how I can make my logistics work better and how to make my art
stronger! This fandom has given me so much, and I'm so appreciative of it.
Thanks so much for reading. I'm very open to any comments or critiques, or questions. Tell me what you guys think and what you'd like to see me focus on!
