BtSP Update 2.2: Dungeons and Day3gons
Added 2020-11-27 19:57:29 +0000 UTCThis update was really really fun to work on, maybe my favorite overall. I added a few dialogue scenes to the talk screens and reworked the RNG engine. Funny enough renpy seems to have PREDICTABLE random number generation when using some of their built-in functions. I was able to rewrite some of the code to work the same but randomize the seed based on the computer clock. Much better random numbers now, which should be actually random! Eddie's minigame is the heart of this update, though. I spent a few hours writing an interesting randomized map generator and programming a basic turn-based combat system. I have a TON of ideas for it and I hope to make it much longer.
I'll confess, this work on a turn-based game has gotten me really excited to make a new project with more of a focus on combat and strategy. I think I'll be brainstorming for that, but I will be finishing BtSP long before I begin something new. To prove that I'm still passionate for this project I put some extra time in to add the setup to the next set of dates, which will occur on day 3. Thanks so much for your support so far, everyone!

Changelog:
- Fish are now randomized much better, now.
- New lake asset to replace the placeholder. There's a dark version for night time too but it hasn't been programmed in yet.
- Eddie's minigame has been added in, I'm still working on making it longer and more rich with features.
- Day 3 now has a required quest. It does not take ingame time so you can still enjoy day 3 normally.
- Some easter egg dialogue was added to Zyyph's name change mechanic.
- Slight fixes to shop prices and randomization.
- Every character now recognizes the world state and will reference choices you've made. You can speak to them all after the morning of day 3 for the basic setups to their dates.
- A host of bugfixes with character positions and visuals.
- The delivery game would previously call variables which are defined elsewhere, it now will normalize them before starting so the game runs properly. I hope. I need to check this still.

ah i see, a little sad i cant get churned into belly fat but beggars cant be choosers i guess~

2020-12-02 17:35:49 +0000 UTCI feel like it doesn't really match the tone of the game to have digestion, but there are some scenes that imply that your character sorta gives up. If you reduce your health to 1 and take damage in a vore scene that's usually the case. Eddie actually references it as a possibility outright, I think.
