Rapturous Release, Ares Chapter
Added 2022-02-14 02:11:50 +0000 UTCPhew! I've been busting my butt for this one! Ares has been quite a favorite for a little while so I decided to flesh him out first. This update has the majority of his story and progression. There will be more scenes to interact with him in the future.
From here the goal will be to flesh out more of the game, to make it feel more homely and

- Basic item pawning for money
- New Character: Fortune Teller, Gaeleon
- New Character: Archmagi Desmond

- New Character: Plush Golem, Jude
- Simon interacts with players on certain milestones
- Chatting is available with some characters
- Reworked engine to allow for bloom effects
- Using music I've purchased the rights to, as well as an old Jit Theme
- Several combat bugs, background bugs, character bugs, camera bugs, particle system bugs, and control flow bugs have been fixed
!Entering your name as "Skip" will allow you to skip Lungo's story and see all the new stuff quickly!

Known bugs:
-strange crashing when changing volume or saving
-Lungo levitates in a scene with ares
-Shops not letting you sell items
-Cards go offscreen, or generate endlessly offscreen
-Ares reward screen doesn't have vignette
-Jackson is still using the turn-based system
-Lungo tarot card is too high-res and sticks offscreen when obtained

2022-02-15 00:53:54 +0000 UTCThere was a minor bug I encountered where whenever Ares is on screen I can't read the text because I can't stop staring at his pecs. No need to patch that one I think. (jokes aside this update was fantastic and I can't wait for more!)

2022-02-14 03:59:06 +0000 UTCloved this story update. the chapter was great and i love ares aswell as the new elephant guy. hope his story becomes available soon. some bugs did occur though. the draw card screen cuts off the alternative options other than drawing and discarding a card. (such as breathe and alternative options, i dont know what the options are because i cant see them due to them being off screen.) also some character images are clipped in and out such as during the ares playthough, the lungo character image was clipped out of frame so all i saw was everything below his shoulders.
