It's nonsensical. Nexus energy makes no sense. It's just a way to show Loki's apocalypse idea works. (Even tho it doesn't really work. Messing with the goats in Pompeii could throw off future archeology and change something. A volcano isn't good enough at destruction. Almost nothing is. A Black Hole would work.
