In Order of the Phoenix when they mention to the other students that Harry can produce a full body patronus charm, they’re shocked because they know only exceptionally powerful wizards can produce a full body patronus. In the books if i remember correctly, he basically uses it pass an exam because of how advanced a spell it is. Also, in the Half Blood Prince, Mcgnagall mentions Harry wanting to become an Auror after school, which is basically what Mad-Eye Moody was (a wizard detective/crime fighter/bounty hunter). For her to support that meant she knew Harry was good at combat spells, again, in the books, they make it a thing to let you know Harry’s favorite class and his strongest class academically were Defence Against The Dark Arts, as well as Magical Creatures. They even hint at combat spells being the one category of magic Harry trumps Hermione at. Hermione of course is way better at charm spells, jinxes and so on. There’s a vast category of magic spells that the movies don’t really mention.

Professor Flitwick is the teacher you're thinking about, he teaches charms and is the head of the school choir. He's very much at the school. Although, they're played by the same actor.

Voldemort nearly died when he tried to kill Harry but his spell rebounded due to the old protection magic Lily Potter used to protect Harry. That had never happened to him before and at the time he was at the height of his power. It's not that Harry is special or strong, but he's more like a symbol to people, showing that Voldemort is not all powerful, that he can be defeated. He's like a symbol of hope rather than a threat on his own. So Voldemort wants to remove that symbol aka kill Harry properly this time.

If you are thinking about what Snape did to Malfoy after Harry casted the sectum sempra curse, it was a spell snape created himself, and he also created a counter spell for it. And the old dude with them at the end is not a teacher, it's Olivander.. The guy with the wand shop, who Harry got his first wand from in the first movie :)

Correct me if I’m wrong, but as far as I understand they aren’t meant to be hidden in a way that they could never be found or accessed because they still require interaction in order for him to be resurrected through one. Example being Lucius dropping the diary in Ginny’s cauldron in Chamber of Secrets(one of my biggest frustrations is Voldemort telling Malfoy in Goblet that he did the least in trying to restore him to power when in fact he nearly succeeded in doing so) it required someone(Ginny) interacting with the horcrux for his soul to leach out and begin affecting the real world. Difficult to access, near impossible to figure out he was even using them(was mostly luck on Dumbledore and Harry’s part), and the number of horcruxes being another factor that no one in their right mind would have assumed. He’s arrogant to a fault and additionally underestimated his opponents abilities and reasoning. It makes perfect sense for him to have not hid them at the bottom of the ocean but only with the time and investment into the full story(the books). Movies leave out too many of these common sense answers to questions that they create simply because of the limitations of that format.

There is one powerful healing spell, Vulnera Sanentur, but we've only ever seen Snape use it, so it must be an incredibly advanced and rare spell (that's the spell he used to heal Draco after Harry cast Sectumsempra on him in the bathrooms). Other than that, the only way to heal is with potions. Hermione must have used all of her supply to heal Ron, so she didn't have any left to help Dobby.

2023-07-29 00:09:22 +0000 UTCJust a little FYI "splinched" which is what happened to Ron's arm when they teleported is when a part of a witch/wizard is left behind during teleportation and usually happens because the person teleporting either isnt concentrating hard enough or they lose concentration. In this instance part of Ron's arm was left behind which is why it has bits missing when they reappear in the forest.

Ppl at the top have given some good recommendations, but I personally would love to see you react to the Taken movies, the Rush Hour movies and also if you’re interested in horror the Scream series as well then do Scary Movie 1-3 which are parody films that are hilarious.
