Limits of Elizabeth’s healing magic: She can’t bring people back to life and she can’t heal exhaustion. She could theoretically heal Arthur, that’s assuming that there’s nothing blocking her healing and he doesn’t die. There’s a sword in his heart, so they would have to remove the sword and heal him before he dies. But if they remove the sword, he would probably die instantly. And he’s just dying a little slower with it in his chest. Not really anything she can do about it. Humans are very fragile

It's a minor but important detail since it further shows that the leaders of the two main warring factions weren't true ideological enemies so much as political ones. They're only conducting this war to expand their own power and so will happily work with one another if it's to their mutual benefit (in this case fucking over their disbehaving children). That's why he needs to become the Demon King to break Elizabeth's curse, as then he will have the very same magic power that cursed her, and so will be able to undo i.t

Since she loves Meliodas the same way Merlin does Arthur (definitely not sus, btw), and they're both lost in about the same way, since reverting Meliodas is about as tall of a task as bringing back the dead (which in this serious is a tough, but not impossible, task). It's a thing that humans do, in case you're not aware.

2023-08-01 02:16:55 +0000 UTCexcalibur needed to be removed in order for elizabeth to heal the wound, which im sorry to say but thats quite obvious, how are you supposed to heal a wound that has a sword plunged into it, and since nobody can move excalibur except for arthur, who was dying, nobody could remove the sword to let elizabeth heal him.

2023-08-01 01:21:21 +0000 UTCElizabeth cannot revive the dead. She could have saved Arthur if they pulled the sword out in time. Unfortunately Arthur was griping the sword too tight and they couldn't remove it and close the wound before he died at which point there was nothing Elizabeth could do.
