Also in the cartoon Aang was told they had been wiped out and were extinct, but when he went to the temple he was in denial. Anyways that’s just my theory as to why Aang still reacted the way he did in the LA

In the trailers for this live-action they said it not going to be exactly the same at the animated version like it didn’t show the actual fire nation bowl scene, the comedy relief of Suka versus Zuko and uncle Aro is more serious and less funny as he is in the animated series.
