This is when the X-Men movies are starting to get good again. Luckily, Don isn’t the only one checking out the films. Vince and Shoshana (The Perfect Mix), Rob & Trin, and Reacts with Jax have all recently watched X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Up next for all of them is First Class, same as Don. I dunno about Jax and Rob & Trin, but The Perfect Mix will be reacting to First Class this Friday. In the meantime, FictionalDarling has just started the franchise. She said she saw the newer films (expect for the best one), but she never saw the original trilogy. She’s now watching the whole thing with context.

2024-03-28 03:18:32 +0000 UTCI recently binge-watched the original five seasons of X-Men: The Animated Series so I can have a better understanding of what goes on in the continuation. This first episode summarizes some key events from Jubilee’s rescue and recruitment in the two-parter season 1 premiere to the Sentinels’ factory destroyed in season 4, but the most impacting moment is the passing of Charles Xavier. In the finale of the original cartoon, the X-Men reached out to Magneto just before he and his brotherhood were about to launch an attack on humanity. They convinced him to help save his longtime friend. Magneto wasn’t able to, but his powers still allowed him to revive Charles long enough to say goodbye. He had some very sweet things to say to the X-Men. I’m so glad you didn’t skip the intro because the song is more than just nostalgic and iconic. It’s absolute fire!!! We have Kevin Feige to thank for that. He wanted to bring back the theme song as well as many of the original voice cast as possible. A new episode will drop every Wednesday. This first season (or I should say sixth) has ten episodes. Two more seasons are already in development.
