having the gods participate would be extremely OP, similar reason to why they didn’t have buu participate because he can heal other people, regenerate, and turn people into practically anything. it’d be pretty boring if they were there tbh

In Super, they talk a lot about wasted movements and wasted energy i.e. with Whis' training (which TBF is covered a bit more in the manga but still mentioned in anime) amd so the whole thing about God/Blue is that they've mastered a higher level of energy efficiency
