This should clear things up When madara said he is loaning his sharingan to someone he was talking about nagato, he gave his rennigan to nagato as a part of his plan to get resurrected through rene-rebirth, the thing nagato used to revive the leaf village. Thats why they said nagato betrayed them as he didn't go along with the plan. Also, nagato was chosen due to his immense chakra as an uzamaki, uzamaki is linked with the senju clan
