2023-01-18 05:39:09 +0000 UTCI’m not saying they can’t be goofy but their core personalities differ, Yangchen was very compassionate and friendly and Yangchen hated unnecessary violence and she was not able to fully give up on anyone, Kyoshi was trusting and level headed, but she had a strong sense of justice and had no issue using force she had no patience for people who caused problem unlike Yangchen. Roku was disciplined, wise as well as merciful, but he was indecisive he didn’t have the sense of justice Kyoshi had to jus put someone down. Aang was a free spirit and similar to Yangchen would never give up on anyone, he was a natural pacifist, and very patient, he became more decisive later in life. Korra was Tough, impatient, headstrong and assertive, and was far from a pacifist also not being anywhere as spiritually inclined as Aang

2023-01-18 04:24:04 +0000 UTCRoku was not the complete opposite of Aang though. As seen when he was studying Airbending he could still be goofy. Their personalities will differ sure

2023-01-18 03:36:02 +0000 UTCAng needs to unlock the 7th chakra and master fire bending before he goes up against the fire lord. Ang may look like he’s ready to go up against the fire lord but the fire lord would have destroyed Ang if Ang went toe-to-toe with him right now.

2023-01-17 21:54:16 +0000 UTCI think the Dai Li were written as a sense of Irony. They spent mad long brainwashing people. Then Azula comes in and shows them what that really looks like. Brainwashers got brainwashed. Cant lie, Azula is verrryyy convincing... especially if you fear her :D. If anything I would just give props to Azula, she did her thang, took over the city, the military, even brought some home, shes a menace, convinced Earth benders that the Fire Nation colonizing them was for the best.

2023-01-17 18:07:05 +0000 UTCThe effect of cult brainwashing is really well shown in the Dai Li. It's actually very easy to believe they would follow the fire nation with only a little prodding, although the show didn't really go into detail about why, which is actually fascinating to learn about in real-life people. Basically, the Dai Li were primed the forget themselves as individuals and do as they were told for the sake of their city. They did this to the point of brainwashing innocent women to be pawns for the city elite. This was going on for so long that the Dai Li developed a shared belief of knowing better than the cities citizens. Then a stronger leader showed up and took control from Long Feng, which is the nature of a cult. It's what happens when you create a group of weak-minded followers that truly believe they know the 'truth'. Charisma is everything and Azula beat out Long Feng in that department, she gave the Dai Li a renewed sense of purpose and got them to believe in the propaganda that the fire lords family has been pedaling since the start of the war. The Fire nation (at least a large majority) truly believes that they are fighting to save the rest of the world from themselves, that they are bringing and sharing their prosperity to the savages of the Earth and Water nations. This is probably what Azula uses to convince the Dai Li to follow her. This show was very smart in how they showed how easy it is to twist a closed organization into something evil through manipulation, brainwashing, cult minsets, and effective propaganda.

2023-01-17 14:45:39 +0000 UTCDon the legend of Korra is a good show but it can not be compared to the last airbender take it as it’s own show. And idk if you know but when the avatars reincarnate they are completely opposite from their past life so Korra will be a complete opposite of how Aang was
