You could tell she was still fatigued when she pulled up on Su. Plus, Lins staple is her metal cables. I think in a fight where both are at their fullest, Lin has a slight edge.

Like in ATLA, water benders at the poles are constantly around Ice, but we never see the swamp benders freeze water. They also discovered how to bend the water in the plants while being surrounded by greenery. Maybe earth benders who lived near a volcano would be more likely to to lava bend
