I've told my family and have signed paperwork stating to not be a "hero" if I'm unconscious and unable to make decisions. I would live as best I can and that's it. I don't want my family in debt for the rest of their lives. Also, it's about the quality of life. I don't want to live 5 years longer but can't even feed myself. No. I rather die with some grace

I myself am currently going through a bit of a health crisis tho its not cancer related at least im 99% sure its not (Fingers crossed :D). See, I am terrified of cancer... Not for the reasons you may think. Im not scared of the potential death from cancer as death just dosent scare me at. Everything comes to an end and I accepted that long ago (29 now)... Anyway What I am scared of is, The people Ill leave behind and how it will effect them, the people that care about me, missed opportunities, this one is gonna sound selfish, but we all gotta think about ourselves at some point right? All the anime I will miss. Ya see, I go through stages of questioning my mortality and how long I have left, its been REALLY bad the past few weeks because I lost my grandfather and what makes it worse is how bad it hurts my father. BACK to the point! MAIN fear of Cancer however is COST... Even with insurance, its so ungodly expensive, it sends families into debt... for GENERATIONS sometimes. Yes they pass the debt to the family and can even be passed to children when they turn 18 or 21... ehhh I cant remember the age. Like with funerals, my dad and his 2 siblings are having to pay for his medical bills from being in the hospital for 2 weeks the bill is gonna be upwards of 10s of thousands or even 100k or more. America fucken sucks man, save yourself, NEVER come here, infact I want out... but I cant T-T PS: The taxes... Go to police brutality. Not even joking, look up some of the BS thats been going on in America concerning the police... Its disgusting it really is

And the last thing he would want is that the surroundings give up on him and just let him die, because it is no use to put effort and risk so as money in it in something that it alleged not worthy for. Because Walter Jr. worked that hard and never gave up, he is in the relatively good position he is now. So he can clearly understand his father and is now disappointed that the principles he was taught are broken by his father himself. Because he himself sacrificed that much effort and will to stay as long as possible in the family but now his father who can potentially expand his lifespan further does not makes him angry. So in the end the worth of time with the family is a very high priority for Walter Jr. because that was everything he had. So from his perspective it makes totally sense to react how he has reacted.

She has two kids to think about, not only for raising them, but how sad it is they won't have their father around throughout their lives. And of course, she is pregnant and probably going through some intense physical reactions as well. These are also the kind of realistic people who try to check off all the boxes and live life the "correct" way, and it's already stressful when you can barely hit the bare minimum, but now this just feels like getting run over after already being beaten up and mugged. She just feels the weight of it all. At the end of the day, his wife and son want him to still be the man of the house even if he doesn't have long to live, which includes still acknowledging his wife and son. It's fucked, but they have their reasons.
