Like his first answer was perfect and so when she asked again he could update her with a “I figured out what I was looking into but I still need more time to process.” That would have been perfect 👍 As for the mom saying Oliver can’t know his son, I think her decision makes logical sense but it doesn’t make it a fair decision. Not sure how much she knows about the Arrow, but children of billionaires are huge targets so his kid would def be exposed to a lot of unwanted attention. But also at the time she made the initial decision, Oliver was (at least posing) as not a great or stable influence especially when the mom was still alive. So again, Sam’s choice made sense and her hesitation also makes sense (9 years of nothing and then this comes out of the blue), and easing both her and the kid into Oliver being in their lives is the smart thing and it’s not like it’s an actual ban for Oliver to tell his kid who he is when he is older. Can you imagine telling a child that this stranger is their dad, absent from their lives and suddenly comes back, was denied a father because his grandmother told his mother to lie about his birth?? I feel like an adult would feel overwhelmed 🤷

She also does not have the right to tell Oliver that he cant get to know his own son unless he lies to the woman he is in a serious relationship with! And the fact that Oliver just accepts that and lies to Felicity is utterly ridiculous!

You have to ease that kind of news in and personally I don’t think Oliver should tell Felicity until he figures out the role and level of participation he will have in Williams life.

He said it himself, “I think i’m entitled to a moment to process this for myself” you should never force anyone to tell you anything if they feel that they aren’t ready.
