Thea eventually forgave Moira for 2 reasons, the first being that she came to a realization as she was about to DIE, so you could it was under duress. 2nd, that is her mother, so of course the love she had for her would slowly chip away at the anger she felt. But noone else is obligated to forgive the woman behind the murder of over 500 people just because she confessed like an hour before the undertaking that could have killed much more than that! Also, remember back when Thea accused Moira of having an affair with Malcolm Merlin, and Moira lied and said she never cheated on her husband then turned around and threw him under the bus while pretending to be a saint? Regarding Laurel's comment about how no one should be able to forgive her after she cross examined Moira (which is her job) I find that infuriatingly stupid. How many times has she crossed examined witnesses and treated them much more hostilely than Moira? Did she ever feel guilty about that? Yet she feels guilty when it comes to Moira, the 2nd person (after Malcolm) responsible for the deaths of 503 people?
