Then god finally told lucifer he loves him before he left but lucifer still thinks god can never love so he can never love and he thinks if he is god almighty he can actually feel love and it will be meaningful

2025-02-09 04:54:34 +0000 UTCThis episode was one of the biggest surprises for me, I did not expect Dan to be killed when I watched it, it thought everything he went through was well written and well paced and I thought, he would finally be happy. That last sliver of hope when he escapes and it seems he csn get away only for him to be shot 3 times gets me every time. So didn’t even know I would feel so said and his death, funeral and the reactions and grief of the rest of the cast affected me more than I thought it would. It very rare that I tear up, it’s only in very impactful scenes, but this was a very impactful episode.

2025-02-09 01:59:16 +0000 UTCI have watched this episode so many times and it still gets me every time. 😢 Chloe saying 'baby' while holding Dan, the entire hospital scene with Trixie asking Chloe, Maze, and Lucifer about her Daddy to come home, Ella and Lucifer singing while Maze just goes all demon-like we have never seen before. When the title music changed to a more somber tone than the normal uplighting tone, I knew the episode was going to be serious. There was so much that built up for this episode - Dan doing his best with therapy to go through his grieving about Charolette - his self-help steps - facing God at Lux about Charlotte - accepts Lucifer's existence through Lucifer's prank episode. Well done. Dan. The ending scene with Linda was very eye-opening. This is the first time that Lucifer, an immortal being, has truly experienced grief over a human that he considered a true friend (even though he would argue with you about that) and then finds out that he is currently in Hell. Even after Lucifer and Maze 'made them pay', he knows that the system determining where souls go is broken. Your reaction was how we all felt while watching. Gutting. 😢

I knew what was going to happen, but I still cried. I didn't cry the first time I watched this (sure I was sad and maybe shed a tear), but I didn't actually cry cry.
