2025-02-08 22:33:45 +0000 UTC(typed a bit more than i thought, read the part that starts with "because", if the rest is TLDR, that part is kinda my point lmao, apologies) its not all the same though if you dont speak the language enough to know its all the same....its a translation for a reason it'd be like if kiba from naruto (who came to mind for obvious reason im sure lmao), itd be like if the subtitles for kiba's ability, said "Kiba Kasane", instead of "fang over fang".....may be obvious that they're both an ability name, but in one case you think "cool ig thats thats his ability", and dont think about what was said at all.....in the other case, you actually understand the name of the ability, why its called that, and you now know that its not just an arbritrary name he came up with for no reason, just because he felt like...... because im POSITIVE thats what Don would be thinking here, "cool, i guess his name is Kiba, idk why, but whatever who cares", as opposed to " he forgot his name, and just named him after what was on his face, he cared so little about the name that he just used the first thing he saw lmao" like the translation would mean something to him, this non-translation of just using the japanese word, means that it means nothing to him other than "thats his name", unless he remembers it from reading the manhwa ofc, but yeah
