I haven’t seen it yet, but she said May got to do a lot more in Moon Knight by comparison. Director Mohamed Diab fought for her character Layla to be Egyptian. While the story takes place in Egypt, they weren’t able to film in actual Egypt due to political climate. So the desert scenes were actually filmed in the Kingdom of Jordan which Oscar was already familiar with. Mohamed improvised bringing downtown Cairo into the show by replicating it in Budapest where they previously filmed Black Widow. The set they built was about four to five blocks wide. And finally, Anton Mogart/Midnight Man was portrayed by the late French actor Gaspard Ulliel. It’s been a little over three years since his passing after he had an accident at a skiing resort in France. This episode was one of his final projects released posthumously and it was dedicated to him. Gaspard was 37 years old.
