Don I can speak to huntingtons disease my mums first husband had it and my 3 older siblings could have it none of them have done the tests they donโt want to my sister doesnโt want kids for the same reason you said incase she has it my 2 other siblings both have 2 kids each the symptoms can start from late 20s 30s itโs mad but I personally would do the test I wanna know if I have it so I could have a family or not

2026-02-20 14:54:02 +0000 UTCI have congenital heart disease, which is highly hereditary, and it's always been one of my biggest fears, to have a kid, and make them suffer the same fate I did. CHD kills 2x more people than all types of cancer combined and yet it's 5x less researched. I don't know if I could morally/ethnically procreate.
