“This robe, fashioned in the style similar to that of a knight’s gambeson, was said to originally have been the idea of a young Transmutation prodigy at the Mage’s Academy. Some stories say that this item was created out of frustration, more than innovation, due to the student’s inability with Abjuration magic. Whatever the true story is, these robes have been reproduced many times since, becoming a popular alternative means of protection for the more combat minded mage.”
Suit Up - As a bonus action, you may speak the robe’s command word, causing the robe to transmute itself into a set of armor. When in this form, the robe is treated as Full Plate, with which you are proficient. As with full plate, you receive disadvantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks and require 15 Strength to move properly in it. You may cause the robe to revert back as a Bonus Action.
