Wondrous Item (Belt), Very Rare, Requires Attunement
“This fearsome belt brings out the inner beast of any who wears it. Through a dark ritual, a wolf is sacrificed and its hide, fur, and bones used to bind its primal spirit, allowing the wearer to call on it in times of need.”
Keen Senses. You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.
Beast Within. While wearing this belt, you can channel the fury of the wolf spirit trapped within the belt. For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits:
At the start of your turn, you regain hit points equal to a roll of your highest Hit Dice + you Constitution modifier, unless you were dealt damage by a silver weapon in the last round.
Your speed increases by 15ft. and whenever you kill a creature in combat, you may immediately use your Reaction to move 15ft toward the next closest enemy.
On a successful attack, you deal additional damage equal to your Proficiency Modifier.
You ignore the effects of Exhaustion and may not be Charmed or Frightened.
While this effect is active, any time you attack an enemy and the dice rolls a 1 or 2, while an ally is within 5ft of that enemy, automatically hits your ally.
After this effect ends, you gain 1 Point of Exhaustion and are Incapacitated for a number of turns equal to the number of points of Exhaustion you have.
Curse - This belt is cursed with the bestial rage of the wolf sacrificed to create it. This predatory spirit melds with your own, causing you to become more bloodthirsty and prone to violence. When attacking a creature, you cannot choose to do so non-lethally, without first making a DC18 Wisdom saving throw. Additionally, if you are ever reduced below a quarter of your maximum hit points or lower, you must make a DC18 Wisdom saving throw to stop the spirit within the belt from taking over your body. On a failed save, you transform into a massive wolf and gain the following features in addition to the benefits from the Beast Within ability of the belt.
You may immediately spend up to half your Hit Die to regain hit points as if taking a Short Rest.
Your size is increased to Large and your Strength and Constitution are increased by 6, while your Intelligence and Charisma are decreased by 6.
You gain a natural Bite attack and can make 3 attacks with it when taking the Attack action. The damage of your Bite is 2d8 + Strength Modifier.
You attack whatever creature is nearest to you, unable to discern friend from foe, and prioritizing whatever creature seems most vulnerable to you.
Attacks you make against creatures who are below half their maximum hit points are made with Advantage.
While in this form, the spirit of the wolf, while bloodthirsty and vengeful, will prioritize survival above all else. If it seems as if it will be killed or captured, it will attempt to flee. This transformation lasts for 24 hrs, after which, you revert to your normal form.
