Yeah the prejudice is huge, but i am glad that lot's of people begin to realize what MLP is truly about and that i has more to offer than strange pastel horsies for kids :)
Hm, interesting thought, let's say it led to many headcannons and fanfictions about the what ifs etc. - about the Dimension thing, i will tell you more as soon as i watched your reaction to it :)

This episode definitely deserves the praise and your long novel of analysis and explanation. It was fantastic! You pretty much nailed everything 😂.
The growth of twilights character and approach was amazing. Loved how I instantly felt the heaviness and change of her from the first music number. And her solving an unfinished spell? Wow.
Those theories sound super interesting! Classic theorists.
Celestia’s ballad was so god damn beautiful. That music was so dream like and ethereal. And you know this reminds of Helga from Hey Arnold. SPOILER UPCOMING. But in the jungle movie, they reveal that Helga has recorded every episode and moment Arnold went through so I get what you mean but the celestia comments 😂
Yes I had no idea of any transformation or next level. I had used one of those pictures for my top characters of the season but as I had said it was simply just me thinking she had wings or something. I’m glad I was naive and didn’t look into it!
Yes the music was incredible!!!! I’m still so shocked at the quality of the music numbers.
It really did feel like a finale. And I could see how many felt it needed more time or another part to get everything in place. But I still believe it had a great resolution and finish! Damn business studios 😪
Yes I will be doing another season and character rating/review. Just getting a bit caught up in editing and setting up other series.
I’m glad I can be a vessel for your love for MLP. It’s amazing to see how a show like this could help and guide so many people. It’s cute, fun, wholesome, and it’s also an intelligent show that manages to have practical and great messages! Funny how before I started I would have looked at MLP fans as weirdos or what the usual person thinks but after experiencing 3 season + a movie, I feel so stupid.
Anytime! I’m sorry I reply late or not to every single thing. But I do always appreciate your in-depth comments and knowledge.
Huh. That’s a good question. She says she’s fearful of ruling a kingdom but I feel that’s where she’s headed for. Potentially leaving ponyville at some point and leading her own nation. But also she’s already time traveled and even went to another dimension, could she possibly be responsible for one of those? 🤔

And here we are, at the finale of Season 3...
"Magical Mystery Cure" is a magical and emotionally charged episode that centers around Twilight Sparkle as she faces one of her biggest challenges yet. After an accidental spell causes her friends' cutie marks and destinies to be swapped, Twilight must find a way to restore them to their true selves. This episode is packed with heartfelt moments, stunning musical numbers, and the ultimate test of Twilight's understanding of friendship.
As Twilight struggles to undo the spell, the episode beautifully showcases the strengths and personalities of each of the Mane Six, emphasizing their unique talents and the roles they play in each other's lives. The emotional depth and character development are enhanced by a series of captivating songs that are both catchy and poignant.
The climax of the episode is a turning point for Twilight, leading to a profound and game-changing transformation that sets the stage for future adventures. Celestia performs a spell that transforms Twilight into an alicorn, granting her the characteristics of all 3 pony-races and elevating her to the status of a princess. This transformation signifies Twilight's readiness to take on new responsibilities and marks her as an equal among the ruling princesses of Equestria.
While not only visually spectacular it also marks a significant milestone in the series' lore.
Many fans were deeply moved by the episode's emotional depth and the culmination of Twilight journey from a student of friendship to becoming a princess. The episode's heartfelt moments and character growth resonated strongly with viewers leading to lot's of liquid pride.
Also this finale provided us with !seven! great songs which led us to believe that we were watching a musical. Particularly "A True, True Friend" and "I've Got to Find a Way," were widely praised for their quality, catchiness, and how well they conveyed the characters emotions and the story's themes. Daniel Imgram and Steffan Andrews aswell as all the singers again did a truly great job.
This polarizing episode which ended an arc that started since the very first Season (i call it the "Alicorn ascension arc") brought much love and hate in the fandom. Some fans felt that the episode's pacing was rushed and deserved more buildup and a longer runtime, possibly a multi-part episode (i count myself to them). Some were concerned about how Twilight becoming an Alicorn princess royalty would affect the dynamic of the show and her relationships with the other characters. There was apprehension about how this change might shift the focus away from her core group of friends or her relatability due to her being now a powerful and regal Alicorn, when she was seen as an everypony character who had flaws and was learning and growing alongside her friends, before.
- Some further notes/thoughts/facts: -
The first Song "Morning in Ponyville" is a nice intro into the episode.
But if I were sitting down to eat and someone ran up to me singing and dancing, i wouldn't be smiling 🤣
There is something strange going on in the state of Equestria!
- Rarity got Rainbow Dash's cutie mark
- Rainbow Dash got Fluttershy's cutie mark
- Fluttershy has Pinkie's cutie mark
- Pinkie got Aapplejack's cutie mark
- Applejack got Rarities cutie mark
Its funny how each of them got their opposing destinies.
Also, no one bat an eye to these changes or was surprised by it, except for Twilight. - Rainbow Dash was even living in Fluttershys Cottage 🤨
Twilight Sparkle: "It's not about the weather, Spike. Rarity had Rainbow Dash's cutie mark and said this was Rainbow Dash's cottage. Something strange is going on..."
On another note, it was confirmed by the writer "M.A. Larson" himself that he got Rainbow Dash's destiny/nature wrong - her cutie mark and destiny didn't lie in taking care of the weather, it was her love for competition, speed and winning that let her gain her cutie mark.
The song "What My Cutie Mark Is Telling Me" is another great song which highlighted this whole ordeal.
Flutterpie or Pinkieshy? - I think Flutterpie sounds good :D
Spike is doing 7 hour bubble baths :o
Ah you remeber that book from the Premiere! Yes it is that exact book which was prepared before by the princesses as the next level of studies. It is from "Starswirl the bearded", a high and mighty unicorn from the earlier days.
Imagine accidently casting a spell which turns everything over causing the demise of everyone you know and are friends with...
The ballad "I've Got to Find a Way" is one of the greatest songs - its so sad 😢
"Brainblast?" 🤯 😂
I love how they still remember them being friends and are willing to help each other out! It's nice to see how this leads them to come in contact with their original Destiny and reclaiming it. The "A True, True Friend" underlines it perfectly and is such a sweet and catchy song 🥰
Did you notice how Rainbow Dash only needed 10 seconds to clear the sky? It was a nice callback to the first episode when Rainbow Dash was clearing the sky in "10 seconds flat", I love how they implemented that here.
AJ is clearly not meant for dresses... these are truly ugly. 😅
Better go back to your farm, where you belong. 😌
In my opinion, this episode is another proof of how fragile pony society is. Without Pinkie Pie (who makes them laugh), ponies seems to just hate each other? 😮
And everyone joins this song - a whole entourage of singing ponies! It's nice to see everyone tuning in like they did with "Winter Wrap Up", or the "Pinkie's smile song".
Have you ever thought about why these ponies suddenly burst out or partake in these songs? - There is a headcannon that i like very much that is widely accepted: The term that is used to describe it is "Heart-Song". - It's basically a side effect of the high magical field in Equestria that is strongly associated with the qualities of Harmony. Sometimes, the ponies just got the feeling to sing or sing along! Everypony does it and it's generally considered to be a wonderful expression of how strong Harmony is in that pony's heart.
Twilight knows how to fix that spell, that even Starswirl the Bearded was unable to create. - It was never told what that spell exactly does... "From all of us together, together we're friends. With the marks of our destinies made one, there is magic without end!"
THE HARMONY RAINBOW LAZORBEAMS KILLED TWILIGHT! 😨
Suddenly Twilight finds herself in another... well... Dimension / Sphere / Realm?
"Celestia's Ballad" is the first time ever that Celestia is singing! - It such a nice song with lot's of memories and feels to it, while it's showing earlier episodes on an ethereal videowall.
On another Note... Am i the only one who thinks that the line "And I've watched you from that very first day" depicts Celestia as a stalker in a way? 😅 Also the wall of memories Celestia is showing doesn't make it better - she was spying and watching over her the whole time 😮 Some even say that these are all the episodes we got to watch until now. She knew it all and saw it all - even maybe staged it all aswell? 🤔
Thats why i had to laugh that you acknowledged Celestia as a troll even before i said anything about it and that she truly may be one, which would explain some events that happened in the past episodes 😁 (Sending her just 2 tickets, her odd behavior during the "Swarm of century" episode, how she often knew about some things etc. etc.)
Twilights transformation into an Alicorn was completely unexpected, she got Wings and is a little bit taller than she was before. I saw you using the Picture of Alicorn Twilight in one of your posts earlier and was afraid that it already spoiled you.
Glad to know that it didn't. - Also, your surprise was genuine - thats what i wanted to see 😀
There is also a theory about Twilight's disappearing after being hit by the elemental-beams of her friends: Some say she died here for real, so her body could undergo this transformation and be reborn as an Alicorn. - Also some think during Twilight's transformation the light which came from her chest was from her element of magic which let her transform.
Celestia just used alternative words to describe each of their Elements:
charity -> generosity
compassion -> kindness
devotion -> loyalty
integrity -> honesty
optimism -> laughter
leadership -> magic
She is now an inspiration to us all:
Celestia: "Not in the same way as before. I'll still be here to help and guide you, but we're all your students now, too. You are an inspiration to us all, Twilight."
"Is there a book about being a princess, that i should read" - classic Twilight 😆
The song "Behold, Princess Twilight Sparkle" is a nice addendum to the The whole crowning ceremony which was breathtaking. Especially Twilights speech was great, it got my "liquid pride" flowing 😅
Twilight Sparkle: "Oh. Um... A little while ago, my teacher and mentor Princess Celestia sent me to live in Ponyville. She sent me to study friendship, which is something I didn't really care much about. But now, on a day like today, I can honestly say I wouldn't be standing here if it weren't for the friendships I've made with all of you. Each one of you taught me something about friendship, and for that, I will always be grateful. Today, I consider myself the luckiest pony in Equestria. Thank you, friends. Thank you, everypony!" 😭
This episode feels like the overall finale because it originally marked the end of My little Pony. A lot of cartoons ended with 65 episodes in earlier times, but MLP was so well received, that two further seasons were announced. It originally had another ending, which got changed on short notice due to the continuation of the series.
"Life in Equestria" was a great opposing reprise to the first song and a nice closure to the series finale.
"Yes, everything is certainly fine" - we all hope for that Twi, we all do.

I agree with you the fantastic music this whole series had to offer until now was great, i never would have thought to hear music on Disney-level in a mere TV-series. It was btw. one of reasons why most people that never had to do anything with MLP even began to watch this series and stick with it. Also it sparked lots of other great musicians and artists!
Yes, Twilights development was subtle but overall great to watch, we got to see the result of her and her friends lessons aswell as Celestia's tasks and how Twilight was able to grow alongside with it, to the point where she was able to correct an unfinished spell and create new magic which showed us how Friendship is Magic!
All in all this episode marked an end of an era with Twilight being a student under Celestia, with that season 3 is over.
It was an emotional rollercoaster and a great episode in my eyes, but it truly deserved a multi-part episode. The pacing was rushed and could have used more room to elaborate on some issues regarding Twilights ascension. (Rumor has it that it was meant to be a two-parter, but Hasbro execs condensed it to a single part. Regrettably it won't be the only time, executive meddling, would lead to some questionable things).
Ah, i think you meant Cadence and Queen Chrysalis at the "Canterlot Wedding" Finale, Sombra was the evil unicorn at the Premiere. I would rate "Magical Mystery Cure" only slightly below "Canterlot Wedding" due to its pacing. - else it would easily have won by a huge margin. - Also, i can see why you rate this season lower than the previous one - it got its depths and heights.
I hope that you will be doing another top 5 episode/pony rating :)
I love how invested you got into this series, it's truly a great experience watching you reacting to it. - Thank you! 💙
- On a personal note: -
The whole buildup of this episode and reminiscing everything while watching it again got me goosebumps... and teary eyes. I love to think back to the earlier days when MLP was close to omnipresent in my daily life with all the fandom stuff happening around it - It was an emotional time that helped me out of a depression.
And as much as it seems like nothing is happening anymore, i am glad that MLP currently undergoes another renaissance since it somewhat dwindled after it finished after Season 9.
Thank you for bearing with me the whole time, this was my longest post until now... but this finale deserved as much. 😄

And at good last a question for you: Twilight is now one of the princesses of Equestria, but as Celestia raises the sun and leads the daily national affairs, Luna is rising the moon and watching over the dreamscape while Cadence is tending and protecting the Crystal Empire (with it's Crystal heart) - Twilights purpose at the moment is ... unknown - what do you think her purpose will be?

Nothing short but spectacular. As we have both said, it does feel like a series finale. The music was 👩🍳💋.
And I didn’t get spoiled but I remember when I was gathering photos I had seen wings but just thought it was like a normal thing. Never put two and two together 😂
Either way what a journey for twilight. From the very beginning it had that feeling of growth from her. Anti friend to going throughout the town singing. Amazing!
Very curious on where we go from here. And luckily we’ll be doing more! 😉

This could’ve been the series finale it was gonna end here but the show got green lit for another season thanks to the popularity of the show because the fandom at the time and how well this finale and season did, this was a musical episode, the music was wonderful I definitely cried there was lots of fans/bronies who shed lots of tears aka liquid pride lol, definitely one of my favorite finales in the series, twilights wings got spoiled for lots of people so I’m sorry if you saw it before it happened but still shocking to see it happen and the way it does, the feeling did feel like the ending it was amazing, celestas balled the song she sung to twilight was very emotional and beautiful very emotional to see all the clips of twilight where she began and where is now, that really felt like the ending of Mlp, great reaction glad you enjoyed this one as much as I did, can’t wait for the movie reaction!
