Daring Do is REAL?!?! | My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Season 4 Episode 4 REACTION + Discussion

Wild episode that got crazy meta with the reveal of daring do being real! Yeah Rainbow was too much but I think the starstruck and fan fueling is honestly too real. and I don’t agree with people finding the ponies in a “watching state” since they all saw that DD didn’t want their help and it was also unknown territory with crime people so they were just respecting that. Loved fluttershy’s small lines! And I loved the Rainbow and Twilight bonding and nerding out. Wish they would connect on some more stuff that isn’t just reading Oooh mythology! Really detailed stuff Yes I got it now. Well not this episode but I understand now starting on Ep4x9 😂. But I got it that it’s one book for everyone.

"Daring Don't" is a thrilling episode that not only provides action and adventure but also deepens the lore of the My Little Pony universe by revealing the true identity of the beloved character Daring Do. It highlights important themes such as the value of teamwork, the reality of heroes and the value of your own self. - Some further notes/thoughts/facts: - You can do meta-comments and estimate what the plot is about ... why not... makes it more interesting if you are right about it 😉 Yeah, that was a great joke with the birds... :D Wow Pinkie... "National Holiday Party Day" - I wonder if she invents these holidays just to party more 🤣 Rainbow Dash is so hyped she cant survive a rescheduling of the book. And Fluttershy confirms it 🤣 Rainbow Dash: "Two more months?! I've been waiting so long already! I don't think I can take another two months! I'll never make it!" Fluttershy: "Yeah. I can vouch for that..." Somehow Fluttershy saying that is too sweet. Twilight is a true die-hard Fan... she knows everything about A.K. Yearling or is able to get this info 😮 - Does her status as one of the princesses make this possible? 🤔 Rainbow Dash: "The new book is obviously delayed because she needs help dealing with whatever everyday nonsense is distracting her from spending her every living breathing second writing..." Really Dashie? This kind of fangirling is getting to extreme levels real fast... it starts to be annyoing 😅 Yea, their hats are wild here 😂 That red line on the map while traveling was a reference to Indiana Jones which did a variant on similar sequences in all four of the Indiana Jones films. - also love how pinkie here was doing it with a brush behind them. 🤣 While they find A.K. Yearling's devastated house, Rainbow Dash had the audacity to compel A.K. yearling to finish the book... 🙄 Rainbow Dash is getting close to annoyingly unpleasant here in my book. A.K. Yearling made it abundantly clear she doesn't like them in her house, but Rainbow had to make things difficult. And then Dr. Caballeron with his henchman arrive and it is revealed that A.K. Yearling IS Daring Do! - That was surprising to anyone... I like your take, that she is only publishing a book after the current situation is settled. The whole time the mane six was watching behind the window is too hilarious. Fluttershy: "Uh... should we go in and help her, maybe?" - Finally! A (gentle) voice of reason! 😅 Daring Do using the whip to get said ring out of the fire is another Indiana Jones reference 🙂 Daring Do is a loner and doesn't trust others... thats somewhat sad... I love how two fangirls are nerding out about a storyline of their beloved books was played out here. 🥰 https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/8/8d/Rainbow_Dash_hiding_S4E04.png/revision/latest?cb=20131209111536 🤣 14:32 Best face of Rainbow Dash ever! that Joke by Daring Do was also great too: Ahuizotl: "The ring, Daring Do! Give it to me!" Daring Do: "Now, Ahuizotl, you know I love you, but I can't give you the ring 'til I've properly proposed." 😂 Rainbow Dash is a lot stronger... but she is so starstruck that she doesn't value herself anymore and feels inferior and at fault for everything she did, which got Daring Do into trouble... Twilight had to step in to prevent Rainbow Dash from giving up, it was a great moment between both and it demonstrated the true problem Rainbow was facing here. - It is kinda the same problem Scootaloo was facing with Rainbow Dash in "Sleepless in Ponyville" (S3x06). It was Daring Do's plan to get captured? This was truly a bad plan! Especially that she didn't account for the weight of the rings... 20:24 I don't think this Pose of Ahuizotl is a coincidence... It is definitively an allusion to Phoenix Wright's "OBJECTION!" 😂 The last scene between Daring Do and Rainbow Dash was mighty awkward... and still sweet... Yeah! The first lesson journal-entry of Rainbow Dash! Rainbow Dash: "Just had the coolest adventure with the coolest pony ever. Came this close to blowing it because I got so wrapped up in how awesome she was, I almost forgot about how awesome I was. Good thing I didn't, because it gave me a chance to show her how important it is to put your trust in somepony else." She is on the Book Cover of the next edition this truly must be awesome! 🤩 BTW. the author of the Daring Do book series is named A.K. Yearling. This is a reference to the author of the Harry Potter book series, J.K. Rowling. The Name is also a reference to a yearling, a male or female horse between one and two years of age. Also it is possible that it is a reference to Yearling Books, an American company that reprints classic works of literature. Also including Ahuizotl, the episode makes a number of references to Aztec history and mythology, such as Quetzalcoatl and Tenochtitlan. I love the inclusion of Mythology! 😅 Some disliked this episode because it showed the mane six out of character that they were just watching Daring do fight when they found out that Daring Do is real and is being assaulted by Dr. Caballeron's henchman when they normally would intervene - I personally think they couldn't believe what they saw and it was kinda surreal for them to see a fictional character getting real up close. - After (thanks Fluttershy) they snapped out of this they directly tried to help. BTW.: I think you are misunderstanding something, it's just one Journal-book that they are writing in together. --- Well this concludes this episode, it was an interesting take on a fictional character that got real, had quite some action within and was overall an interesting focus on Twilight and Rainbow Dash. It had two lessons here, the first is about how important is teamwork which can help you to reach a certain goal, while the second one is about how it is important to value yourself. It was a good reaction - thank you :) 💙
