ah, that's what you meant... yeah it would have been nice, but i can see why it wasnt made like that (budget etc.)

I’m not familiar with super hero’s but thank you for the amazing details! Crazy depth they creators go into. Quite the meta story and it wasn’t me pointing out everything 😂. An interesting Spike character analysis and I loved the message even if we may never actually get a consistent spike. By different style I meant it would have been cool to maybe get more comic book textures, play with the transitions like a comic book, and maybe a slight difference in their designs that’s not just costumes. But I’m just nitpicking. Not the best episode but creators are tapping into some awesome places!

In "Power Ponies," the Mane Six, along with Spike, are transported into a comic book world where they must embody superhero personas to defeat an evil villain. It is an action-packed episode that not only entertains with its superhero antics but also delivers a heartfelt message about friendship, teamwork and self-belief. - Some further notes/thoughts/facts: - You saying you want to show that you are a person and an individual is exactly what any AI-Bot would say 🤣 - JK, just do what you have to and stay as you are or you want to be 💙 😀 So Spike is invested in a comic-book and they are going next day to the "castle of the two sisters"? That will be interesting... A restoration project? Hmm i wonder... 👀 How in the world is Pinkie sliding on the wall? Nah nevermind...at this point i don't wanna know 🙄 Spike: "Hum Drum never stops the villain. He's just there for comic relief." [he steps into can...] You're a savage for non-chalant calling him out like that ("Thats you") 🤣 - but you're are right... That IS him and very meta 😂 Spike: "Hum Drum is in the way again while the Power Ponies do all the work! I guess I know what that feels like..." Now the creators go literally meta-levels of meta here... And even more meta by literally sucking them all into said comic book... well except for Pinkie who just joined willingly by jumping into it 🤣 Wow... So many references.. here we go: - The title is an allusion to Saban's Power Rangers franchise. - The Mane-iac's origin is a reference to the Joker's origin in Tim Burton's 1989 Batman movie. - Maretropolis is an allusion to the city of Metropolis from DC Comics. - How the "Mane-iac" walks with her long mane and the manner in which she uses it as appendages is based on that of "Doctor Octopus" (aka. "Otto Octavius") from the "Spiderman comics". Also the Mane-iac's powers resemble those of Sedusa from The Powerpuff Girls or Medusa from the Fantastic Four comics. Each of the Power Ponies and their abilities were inspired by various Marvel and DC Comics characters: - Twilight Sparkle > Masked Matter-Horn: Cyclops - Applejack > Mistress Mare-velous: Batman/Wonder Woman - Mistress Mare-velous using the lasso on the tornado is an allusion to Pecos Bill. - Pinkie Pie > Fili-Second: The Flash/Quicksilver - "Fili-Second's" name is derived from the word "millisecond". - Though it is embellished with a lightning bolt, the pink trail of light left behind by Fili-Second strongly resembles the trails of colored light produced by the Light Cycles in the TRON films - Rarity > Radiance: Star Sapphire/Green Lantern - Rainbow Dash > Zapp: Thor/Storm - Fluttershy > Saddle Rager: The Hulk - Spike > Hum Drum: Burt Ward's portrayal of Robin in the 1960s live-action Batman TV series - Spike says, "Holy new personas, ponies!" a running gag made by Robin in the same series. In addition, the color scheme of Spike's superhero costume is similar to that of Robin's. Also Spike's "Once again, the day is saved!" is an allusion to what the narrator ends each episode with in The Powerpuff Girls but you recognized that right away! 👍 Their designs are nice, especially the Villain Mane-iac here takes the cake :D Well everything is fiction before told otherwise as it was in Daring Do - so i wouldn't call it world building per-say in this case, cause it is still a fictional story. The only takeaway of this comic was that i had to wonder about the understanding of advanced technology in this world, because there were some resemblances to modern technology in our world, but it looks like the addition of magic made stuff evolve in some other ways... You are right, it is pretty obvious what this episode is about. About the Animation i am not sure what you had in mind, could you elaborate on what you meant here? It's about the style of the animation? The Doomsday Device is at the top secret headquarters which isn't top secret anymore if anyone knows... And a surprise attack is no longer a suprise attack if someone is calling them out... I am looking at you Rainbow Dash... 🤦‍♂️ Applejack: "Time to Power Pony up!" this was btw. the first time the term "pony up" came up i think... (funny enough that it has another meaning of paying up... well for hasbros toys ofc.🤣) Fluttershy is just too kind to get angry for her own sake... I like how they tackled Spike's insecurity of being useless here, spike is one of the most underrated and most inconsistent characters throughout the show due to him often being taken as the comic-relief character who is always depicted in a different way by each writer of each episode... - it's a pity, because it left lots of potential... Still, the good episodes are great to watch. - Lovely speech by Twilight standing up for him. "We need a Fluttershy"... yes we all do! 😅 Her friends are in Danger... Fluttershy doesn't bat an eye... but you hurt one little fire-fly... and Hulk-Fluttershy loses her mind.. 🤣 Twilight Sparkle: "We wouldn't have made it without you, Spike. And I hope you realize that just because we don't always need your help, it doesn't mean that we don't think you're helpful." Spike: "And that you don't have to have superpowers to be a super friend." Truth being spoken here... House of (literally) enchanted comics... i would like that :D --- Overall this was a pretty solid episode, even for Spike-standards. Although much was coincidental and foreseeable it was a nice change in pace/setting and the villain was great. Also, i loved all the references! The lesson about Spike's struggle with self-worth and his desire to be seen as valuable was greatly addressed and resolved in a good way. - I loved that very much. Thank you for reacting to this 💙

Agree! Solid all around. Wished they did a bit more animation wise but flutter hulk was too good

I love the power ponies, I’ve always liked super hero episodes in cartoons, I remember the fairly odd parents one and the jimmy neutron one, flutter hulk is fantastic lol, also rarity was probably my favorite costume, they all looked pretty awesome, the lesson was good just a fun episode.
