2024-08-05 05:16:26 +0000 UTC- Some notes/thoughts/facts: - The "Grand Equestria Pony Summit" hosts over 50 City's in Equestria - Equestria is pretty big... Twilight is absolutely tired - she was awake for 3 days, how come noone stepped in to help her? And holy cow do i love a sleepy drunk Twilight... she is just too adorable 🥰 Spike: "Oh, uh, yeah. Two delegates have speeches booked in the same hall. What do I do?" Twilight Sparkle: "Okay, no problem. Just put the hay in the apple and eat the candle, hm?" 🤣 Fancy Pants: "What is it now?! There's an angry mob here that demands satisfaction!" 😂 Fancy Pants: "Don't play games with me, Princess! You know why I'm here!" Twilight Sparkle: "Is this about the special privileges you wanted? Because this seems a little extreme!" 😂 --- Spike episodes are hit or miss - some are good, some are really bad, and this is the latter case. This episode is not just bad because it's a Spike episode; it's bad because it was generally unfair towards Spike with a completely intentional direction that wasn't entirely his fault. The setup was rigged from the start. Why the hell is Twilight working three days straight without help? Why did Cadence assign Spike to watch over her, even though she knew that some decisions and assignments were still open and had to be discussed? Even the pretext of these Princess-fanatics, who don't even give a shit about Spike's offer to help out with problems, was entirely intentional and for the sake of the episode. Everything had to be said by the order of the princess... It was bound to happen that Spike would be put on the spot to take all this blame. Though this may later be justified because Spike began to enjoy it maybe a tad too much (it's kinda like the greed episode "Secret of My Excess"), and maybe Spike was also to blame for not having considered asking Cadence earlier to take over. Still, I wonder why none of the other princesses were able to take over, like Cadence in the first place? She was there the whole time... And yeah, I am with you. Spike's development came to a halt until now. He is just too much portrayed as a comic relief character who has to take all the blame. Also, Spike was mostly the best while not being the main focus until now. Another point was the message. It was in no way suitable for this episode. It was way too squeezed in between in a questionable manner. Overall, it had its funny moments. It was one of the worst episodes, but it was still better than "Spike at Your Service," in my opinion. That said, I can at least assure you that the next Spike-centered episodes will be much better than this one. 😁

2024-07-09 18:07:02 +0000 UTCSpike episodes aren’t the best, the only time I like spike is when he’s not the main character and he’s just in with the other characters he’s even fine in equestria girls movies, the message was fine I did enjoy it but I understand what you mean this is probably my least favorite episode in the season, also sleepy drunk twilight is adorable definitely a highlight of this episode lol
