And the support of the friends instead of taking it personal. I loved this from a communication stand point so much! Yes great references, call backs, and costumes as well!! Her development seems marginal these days so I hope we see more since I think they usually explain things well with her. I am also not a horror fan or person so I can relate

And as much as Twilights idea of a role-switch was just brilliant, the first try was a bust because the scares at Nightmare Night are of an entirely different nature... but it was still in a way uncannily funny. 😅 Oh no.. It was heartwarming to see the theme that friends don't have to like the same things emphasized so clearly, especially as Fluttershy navigated her discomfort with Nightmare Night. As an introvert, she made a genuine effort to participate with her friends, and I really appreciated how they supported her choices without judgment, showing their care and understanding. At first, I was uncertain about how this episode would fit into Fluttershy's overall development. Initially, it seemed like she hadn't progressed, but then I realized that it was more about her feelings towards Nightmare Night than her growth as a character. She has grown in many ways, but it's perfectly okay that she still doesn’t enjoy this particular event. - I absolutely respect her decision to step back after trying to engage with it. Twilight’s idea to have Fluttershy take charge and scare them was brilliant. Fluttershy’s ability to scare her friends, given her deep understanding of fear, was impressive. Yet, it made perfect sense that she chose not to continue, as scaring others is against her nature as the Element of Kindness. I completely respect her decision, and as someone who isn’t a big fan of horror myself, I can relate to her feelings about Nightmare Night. Overall, this was a fantastic Fluttershy-centered episode with a wholesome message. It celebrated the idea that it’s okay to not enjoy everything, but it’s still worth trying new experiences. The continuity and callbacks to previous episodes like the "Nightmare Night", "Filli Vanilli," "Dragonshy," and "Bats!" were a treat for long-time fans, adding depth and layers to the story. The pop culture references, jokes, and costumes were a lot of fun, and while I also do wish Luna had been included, this was still a great episode. It could have been even more amazing with her, but as it stands, I thoroughly enjoyed it. 2024-07-19 07:43:24 +0000 UTCI love this episode, we really needed a fluttershy focused episode in this season, great to see her trying nightmare night and I’m really glad her friends support her and respect her choices such a good group of pony friends!, I loved the anime pony references!! also that zombie twilight was derpys costume if you go back you can see it’s derpy! also when this episode aired it was Halloween, and happy to see flutterbat was back! I also loved the costumes, Halloween is one of my favorite holidays so I’m always happy to see mlps version
