Glad I can be apart of you’re rewatching experience! A little odd but I sort of liked the parental aspects to it especially also after last episode with the lying and stuff. But we get pearls negative aspects! Which isn’t exciting but for someone who is as controlling and organized as her, it can go WRONG.l and be dangerous. Oh wow yeah that line can seem extremely sad. Yes yes. Let me be unveiled and revealed at my own pace 😉 I do think they have some charm so I don’t usually mind them but good to know!

2024-07-21 03:15:08 +0000 UTCThis reaction video is actually my first time ever re-watching this episode, I’m realizing :0 I think it was written a little odd for my taste but it really does display Pearl’s character trait of being a bit selfish — it’s shown in the future more but it’s also been shown previously how she tends to put Steven in danger for her own personal wants and goals — “I’m so sorry, I almost got us killed...” “I’m used to it.” It’s played off lightly, but it’s actually sad when you think about it. Pearl’s neglectful behavior is not on purpose of course, she loves Steven and cares for him very deeply, it’s just how she is. She’s a very complex and nuanced character, it’s interesting how it unfolds and how the writers go about showing her history and how it affects her. Anyways, I won’t blabber about that more because I don’t want to spoil the fun haha. There’s a handful of more episodic/“filler”/Beach City residents episodes coming up, but then we start getting into the really juicy lore episodes.
