Because it allowed Malia to really grow as a character and give her own story outside being Stiles’s love interest and Peter’s daughter. Before 5b if you asked me who Malia Tate was the first thing I would say was “Stiles first girlfriend” or “Peter’s daughter” nowadays I say “one of the best character in teen wolf” or “the werecoyote of the McCall pack”. It wasn’t until 5b until Malia became my favorite female character!

Everyone is looking to him but he wasn't born with these powers like Derek so i get that all of this is a lot for him. I think Scott and Allison, Scott and Kira were equally good relationships for Scott. I don't really prefer one over the other. I feel like maybe Kira understands him better because they both are supernatural but Allison was his first love. Malia doesn't really need a man i feel, so if she and Stiles do break up she would be just fine single :)
