MEETING FLUTTERSHY'S FAMILY!! | My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Season 6 Episode 11 REACTION + Discussion

I know why it would be enticing to see, but its still (mostly) a kids show with an overall positive vibe, there are some boundaries and not every story has to be this dark 😅 Animals, rare creatures and nature were always Fluttershy's passion since she was a filly, thus she knows a lot - i also bet that she got enough people who pay her for her expertise and assistance. If not... she always has her friends (One a well known designer, another a princess or a wonderbolt) who might be truly rich... She is also one of Princess Twilights ambassadors (i like the term "friendship-warrior" 🤣), maybe she gets also a wage from that?

Everything has to be dark and cynical with me 😂. Up until this point they never mentioned it so I assumed the worst that she had this entire falling out and that’s why she’s this kind hearted. It’s nice to see that’s not the case but there’s a part of me that still wanted it 😂 The weird romance was hilarious 😂😂 Fluttershy really showing the growth and boundaries here. I loooove it! Insane that she’s the one to call out and be outspoken. Ah link! That’s awesome Ooo nice big bro comparison I enjoyed this episode a lot as it tackles much ignored problems of failure, not committing, and lack of accountability. Zephyr is annoying but a lot of people can be him. But it was also fun to see his relationship with FS and the parents not parenting or afraid to as most parents would feel. You know you’re right. I’ve always been interested in the more innerworkings of Fluttershy like her past (we got that with cutie marks and bullying) parents (this episode), but she definitely doesn’t get any income 😂. She lives in a tree so we know she doesn’t pay rent but how can she afford tea and bread?! I still hope we dive more into her character and bigger purpose but it also explains why she was into the hippy pony a while back if she’s more charitable and earthy

- Some notes/thoughts/facts: - Interesting headcannon you had there... but i think this way is better 😅 - otherwise it would be really sad. "Rarity and him would be a nice combo..." - No you didn't just say that... - I bet that Rarity wouldn't be able to have him around for even 1 minute 😅 - as it is shown later in the episode 🤣 Zephyr Breeze: "Welllll, if it ain't Rainbows "The Best Flyer There Ever Was" Dash!" Rainbow Dash: "[flatly] Oh, this ought to be good." Zephyr Breeze: "Sorry, I shouldn't tease you. I know the whole super awesome flyer bit's just to impress me." Rainbow Dash: "[surprised neigh]" Zephyr Breeze: "Still, thanks for showing up for my homecoming. It's, it's sweet." Rainbow Dash: "[strangled gasp]" - 🤣🤣 I cant believe he got Rainbow to shut-up while having a crush on her 🤣🤣 His ego is even bigger than Rainbows 😅 Mr. Shy: "Well, we may not be as bold as you, Fluttershy" - a sentence I would never have thought of in the first Seasons, but it seems she really improved a lot since then. - her behavior overall in this episode was surprising. Who would have thought tha Fluttershy would be the first to strongly curse in MLP? And we all know what she originally wanted to say instead of "peeved" 😏 https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/f/f7/Fluttershy_shouting_%22peeved%22_S6E11.png - The last time we saw that face was in The finale of Season one. Fluttershy: "You have to get a job." Zephyr Breeze: "Cracking the whip, huh? You always were kind of bossy." - That's interesting, so Fluttershy does have the upper hand in the family? Zephyr messes up a lot each and every time... but its not like he is dumb or uncreative, he seems to be smart and creative to find alternate ways of outsourcing these things, which still defy the original purpose of him doing a job himself. Do you know Link from the videogame Zelda? https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/4/44/Zephyr_follows_an_upset_Fluttershy_S6E11.png - this is him in form of his horse "Epona" https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/zelda_gamepedia_en/images/0/0b/OoT3D_Link_and_Epona_Artwork.png Zephyr being in the woods was a reference to the 2000 Tom Hanks film "Cast Away", his mannequin a imaginary friend called "Wigford" is a refernce to "Hanks'" character's imaginary friend, that he makes out of a volleyball and names "Wilson" Zephyr: "I don't expect you two to understand. I mean, when have you ever failed? You've literally helped save Equestria, like, a dozen times." - He is comparing himself to his sister and undervaluing himself. (Kind of like BigMac did once) The following song "Can I Do It On My Own" is astonishingly great - its catchy and Zephyrs voice fits really well in here, Ryan Beil did a good job as his VA. Here, have a Remix of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blu3s9IqLoI Zephyr Breeze: "I didn't! But I do now. Thanks for believing in me, sis." Fluttershy: "That's what big sisters are for." - so wholesome 😄 Mrs. Shy to Rainbow: "Thank you, dear, for not giving up on Zephyr. After all these years of pining for him, it must be so satisfying to see him on the right track." - That's quite a misunderstanding 🤣 Still Zephys ego is at leaps and bounds, may we hope that Fluttershy is able to contain it where its needed 😅 --- We finally meet Fluttershy's family, and they are certainly a unique bunch. Fluttershy's timid nature clearly runs in the family, as both Mr. and Mrs. Shy are equally as reserved and soft-spoken. This meekness, however, has allowed Fluttershy's brother, Zephyr Breeze, to become quite a handful. His obnoxious behavior seems to stem from the lack of boundaries during his upbringing. With his parents too timid to discipline him, Zephyr likely got everything he wanted without learning the necessary skills to handle adult responsibilities. This lack of preparedness led to repeated failures in his adult life, which might explain why he now comes across as rude, egotistical, and lazy, despite his occasional displays of intelligence and artistic talent. Zephyr's laziness, however, could be a symptom of deeper issues, possibly even depression, which often results from constant failure. Depression can make it difficult to accomplish even the simplest tasks, severely affecting one's mental health and behavior, potentially leading to the obnoxious traits Zephyr exhibits. His overconfidence might even be a mask for his insecurities, especially when comparing himself to his sister, one of Equestria's celebrated heroes. Despite his flaws, there's a glimmer of hope by the episode's end. Zephyr seems to find a path toward improvement, showing signs of better behavior and personal growth. While he still has a way to go, this episode suggests he might finally be on the right track. Many fans dislike Zephyr Breeze for his rude and annoying behavior. However, some viewers found him relatable if they were willing to look beyond his facade. Zephyr's struggles and insecurities resonated with those who could see the underlying reasons for his actions. In this episode, Fluttershy truly shone. She maintained her composure throughout and demonstrated a newfound assertiveness, showing she's more than capable of holding her own, even within her own family. The strength she displayed was remarkable, revealing how much she's grown—standing her ground while still embodying kindness. This growth is undoubtedly thanks to the support of her friends; with good friends by your side, it's easier to develop confidence and embrace your true self. One intriguing aspect of the episode is the question it raises about Fluttershy's own work. While she insists that Zephyr get a job, Fluttershy's own occupation remains somewhat ambiguous. She's often seen caring for animals, which suggests she might be an animal caretaker, yet there's also a vet in Ponyville. Given how frequently she travels to help various creatures, it's possible that her work is more philanthropic in nature, perhaps dedicating her life to charitable causes. Another takeaway is an important lesson about the fear of failure. It highlights how anxiety over making mistakes can often hold us back from reaching our full potential. The story emphasizes the importance of pushing forward, even when the possibility of failure looms large. To begin a journey, especially one filled with uncertainty, sometimes we need a strong external influence to guide us. In this episode, that influence comes in the form of Zephyr Breeze’s sister, Fluttershy, who, despite everything, never lost faith in him. The episode itself was quite engaging. It was refreshing to see an assertive side of Fluttershy, even to the point where she almost cursed—something we’ve never seen from her before! Additionally, we finally got to meet Fluttershy's family, adding depth to her character. The episode also featured a really catchy song, and Zephyr's antics, while often questionable, were undeniably hilarious. It was also amusing to watch Rainbow Dash getting flustered and flabbergasted on a few occasions. 🤣😅 Overall, this episode stood out for its humor, character development, and the valuable lesson it delivered. Great reaction as always! - I enjoyed it very much 💙😄

Yes I understand the hate. But as you said, I think he’s very relatable whether people want to admit it or not. and i especially love Fluttershy with the backbone she’s acquired. Probably needs to in this family. I’d actually say she’s the bravest one in her family and that’s crazy considering where she was at the beginning. Maybe some people can over analyze and reached with zephyr since he can easily give off the super lazy and not seriousness approach but I also get the more psychological view. Regardless I liked this episode and it had a lot of value! And yes the bits of romance teasing was great and awk 😂

So many fans hate zephyr, but so many also said they related to him in some way cause I sure do, it’s so hard to start something, it’s like why try to learn guitar if you’re just gonna be bad at it or like why get a job because you’re gonna fail this trait is so relatable the anxiety and fear of failure so real, not saying zephyr wasn’t lazy but a lot of times the laziness comes from depression and anxiety and it just makes you not want to do anything even something as simple as get up earlier, like as shown he didn’t wanna get up early and also sleep schedules being messed up like his sleeping in the middle of the day can be caused by mental health issues even though zephyr is annoying and rude I still feel bad for him, and he’s fluttershys brother so she can’t hate him she knows he can do these things if he just try’s to, family relationships are so complicated! I loved fluttershy in this episode she’s was great and assertive, I liked how zephyr has a crush on rainbow lol 😆 it’s funny cause zephyr has a big ego and you know rainbow does too, great episode also the song was beautiful!
