I’ll get there soon!
The map is interesting but I think its a sort of fate that each pony has to showcase their problem solving skills regardless how impossible it seems. Something spiritual going on 😂
Gladmane was an insane villain and twist! Similar to the other rainbow dash framing with that legendary flyer. He’s diabolical and manipulative which is refreshing!
Speaking of that, flim and flam! Tbh even if I dislike greedy and business people, I feel they perfectly capture that capitalistic and business side of things. Vegas honestly sounds perfect for them. Idk if a reform is necessary unless we are in that timeline where they rule the world 😂
Have to agree on the fluttershy involvement. She balances all of the sides so well which gets everyone to buy in. Then applejack’s non forgiveness actually is a positive but it’s only because of Fluttershy’s benefit of the doubt.
Overall Las Vegas was a hit with two unlikely personalities as it’s traditionally the opposite of what the city is known for but maybe that’s why they were needed to uncover and notice it.
Fluttershy’s involvement has been amazing and overlooked

- Some notes/thoughts/facts: -
Ed youre getting better at this 😄
Applejack: "Probably not as bad as we think. It can't just be a loud, obnoxious party all the time... right?"
[pop]
Fluttershy: "Uh, Applejack? It isn't as bad as we thought."
[crowds cheering]
Applejack: "You're right. It's worse!" 🤣
- Ah, typical Las Pegasus... a reference to Las Vegas as it's alive and well, indeed 🤩
And yes its the first Mission AJ and Flutters do together 🥰
The perfect couple for Las Pegasus... 😋
Again this episode had sooo much references... The animators were going all out on this episode...
- Many of the buildings in Las Pegasus resemble real-life hotels/casinos and attractions on the Vegas Strip:
-> The circus tent alludes to "Circus Circus".
-> The giant Ferris wheel alludes to the "High Roller".
-> The building shaped like Manehattan alludes to the New York-New York Hotel and Casino.
-> The pyramid and Sphinx-shaped building allude to "The Luxor".
-> The Eiffel Tower-shaped building alludes to the "Paris Las Vegas".

Fluttershy: "Do you think the map could be on the fritz again? I mean, this place seems a lot more suited to Pinkie Pie or even Rainbow Dash."
Applejack: "If Twilight trusts the map, then so do I. All we have to do is solve our friendship problem and get back home. 'Course, we have to find it first."
- It's undeniable that the Mane 6 place complete trust in the Cutie Map, which is intriguing. The map consistently guides them in their mission to spread true friendship, always knowing exactly who to send. But how does it do that? So, the real question is: Can we trust it entirely? What is its true origin? - What do you think?

The three posters in the lobby bears a resemblance to:
-> street magician Criss Angel's 2005 TV show "Mindfreak"
-> pop singer Britney Spears' 2013 residency show "Britney: Piece of Me"
-> a Cirque du Soleil promotional poster

Gladmane: "Just Gladmane'll do. And it's a pleasure to meet actual cohorts of the Princess of Friendship! Thank you for coming. Thank you very much."
Fluttershy: "You know who we are?"
- Woo! They're all famous now, not just Twilight herself!
Gladmane: "I'm what you might call a friendship connoisseur, so naturally I'm familiar with the friends of the great Twilight Sparkle! Applejack, Fluttershy, it's an honor to have you here. Uh-huh-huh."
- yeah I bet for your own benefit though...
Gladmane's accent and manner of speech are reminiscent of Elvis Presley. Also Applejack reinforces this resemblance by announcing "Gladmane has left the building!" at the end, which was often said whenever Presley was demanded an encore by the audience.
The two prairie dog performers in Gladmane's employ resemble stage magicians Siegfried & Roy.

- too adorable... 🥰
Flim and Flam are back! - I like your expression of disapproval here 😅
But this time they are divided... by Gladmane... 😱
Fluttershy: "They certainly don't seem to be getting along. [gasps] You don't suppose we've been brought here to help them?"
Applejack: "Absolutely not!"
- Absolutely understandable! - The End!
just kidding.
Gladmane: "Flim's such a showpony, and Flam has such a head for business. Why, if they ever did work together, they'd be running this place in two shakes!" - Foreshadowing 👀
I think "prideful" isn't the right term here... AJ is just stubborn.
Isn't that Scooter from the Muppets show?

Every argument between Gladmane's "friends" seems to benefit Gladmane himself... Gladmane is using Friendship as his weapon... to deceive everyone.
Who would have guessed that both events were the real problem - Gladmane's scheming and Flim and Flam's bickering?
Applejack: "There must be a way to trick him into telling the truth!"
Fluttershy: "Gee, if only there was a pony who knew how to trick a trickster. - Or maybe a pair of ponies?"

- Wow.... She got really Sassy here 🤣
Everyone of the Mane 6 have crazy faces sometimes... its always amusing to see.
Applejack: "Sounds to me like neither of you said those things. Why'd you believe Gladmane when he said you did?"
Flim: "Why would he lie?"
Fluttershy: "Because he's afraid that the two of you together could move in and take over his resort."
Applejack: "And if I'm tellin' you he said it, you know it's the absolute truth because—"
Flim and Flam: "You never lie!"
- This is one grand writing and a nice callback to "Leap of Faith" - kudos! 👏
Fluttershy disguises herself as "Impossibly Rich", which is surely a name somewhere I bet...
But Gladmane knew all along, however that was Flim and Flams plan all along...
I am with you, the confession recording trope is kinda lame sometimes... but this was still well executed, because noone expected this kind of double-twist... which made it still great.
Fluttershy: "If it weren't for your history with Flim and Flam, you never would've been so determined to find somepony else to help, and we never would have found out what Gladmane was doing."
Applejack: "And if it weren't for you wantin' to show even those two con-ponies kindness, we never would have been able to trick the trickster."
- well summarized 😀
At last, Flim and Flam took over the resort, with a questionable outcome:
Flim: "[over loudspeaker] And while you're appreciating this historic venue totally devoid of any performers of any kind, we invite you to use the wonder of your own imaginations to fill the space at no additional charge!"
[crowd excited chattering]
- You just have to sell it right... and it will still work...

The episode takes place in the vibrant city of "Las Pegasus", where Applejack and Fluttershy team up for a mission to resolve a friendship problem. This episode stands out for its intriguing character dynamics and clever twists, particularly the con-artist villain Gladmane, who manipulates the performers at his resort by stirring up conflicts to keep them dependent on him.
Flim and Flam, the notorious con artists, temporarily join forces with Applejack and Fluttershy to expose Gladmane's deceit. The plot cleverly unfolds as the brothers, known for their cunning, outwit Gladmane, luring him into a false sense of security. Gladmane, believing he has the upper hand, carelessly reveals his own schemes. This was all part of Flim and Flam's plan, using his arrogance against him. The moment when Gladmane is double-tricked is especially satisfying, as his overconfidence becomes his downfall.
A key part of the episode involves the tension between Flim and Flam themselves. Gladmane's manipulation drives a wedge between the two, and it’s Applejack - of all ponies - who must reconcile them to take down their common enemy. Applejack’s deep distrust of the brothers and her stubbornness and determination lead her to explore other solutions. Her reluctance to trust Flim and Flam is completely understandable given their history, yet it is also her skepticism that ultimately helps to resolve the conflict. Meanwhile, Fluttershy’s trademark kindness plays a pivotal role in the episode. Her willingness to give Flim and Flam a chance, despite their notorious behavior, helps facilitate the resolution. However, in the end it’s clear that the brothers motivations are purely self-serving—they want to take over Gladmane’s resort for their own benefit. Thats why in the end, they don’t reform, maintaining their status as con artists even as they seize control of the resort. - There is now way this could be a problem for later... or is it? 👀😅
However, it’s interesting to speculate whether a reformation for Flim and Flam would ever be a good idea, but in this episode, the decision to keep them unchanged also adds a layer of complexity to the story.
- But what do you think? Do you want both of them to be reformed?
I just found the lack of a musical number for the brothers, who typically have catchy songs, to be a bit disappointing, but the episode made up for it with solid pacing and surprising turns.
Fluttershy’s role in the episode was particularly compelling. She shows remarkable growth, not only in her kindness but also in her craftiness, possibly picking up a few tricks from Discord 😏. Her forwardness in handling the situation, especially when she takes matters into her own hooves with flim and Flam and later disguises herself as "Impossibly Rich," marks a significant evolution in her character. Fluttershy is no longer just reacting to events around her - this time, she actively involves herself, even convincing Applejack to trust Flim and Flam, with a hint of sass, which was funny. Her confidence shines through as she skillfully plays a role, showing she has come a long way from her more timid past.
The episode's moral is layered, offering multiple lessons. It highlights the idea that sometimes you need to align with a lesser evil (Flim and Flam) to defeat a greater one, in this case, Gladmane. It also interesting to see that this show wont reform every villain, as evidenced by the brothers' unchanged nature at the end. Lastly, the importance of working together, even with those you dislike, for the greater good, stands out as a central theme.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the twists and pacing of this episode, particularly the unexpected team-up between Applejack, Fluttershy and Flim and Flam. The fact that the brothers remain villains adds a refreshing depth to the series. Applejack and Fluttershy made for a surprisingly complementary team, balancing each other well throughout the adventure. The Las Pegasus setting provided an extra layer of world-building, with its vibrant animation and creative design, making it a place worth revisiting in future episodes - The animators did a great job! But the real highlight was Fluttershy’s evolving role as a mediator between Applejack and the brothers, showcasing her growth and confidence. I also loved the writing in this episode, it was great.

Great reaction - I enjoyed it very much. 💙
